This app works with Schlage Encode Plus™ Smart WiFi Deadbolt, Schlage Encode™ Smart WiFi Deadbolt, Schlage Encode™ Smart WiFi Lever and Schlage Sense® Smart Deadbolt. The Schlage Home app for Apple Watch works with Schlage Encode™ Smart WiFi Deadbolt and Smart WiFi Lever. These Encode smart lock owners can lock and unlock as well as check the status of their deadbolt from the Schlage Home app on their Apple Watch.

These locks feature built-in WiFi so you don’t need to purchase additional hubs or accessories for remote access of your lock. When a lock is paired to your smartphone and connected to your home’s WiFi network, conveniently use the Schlage Home app to:
- Lock/unlock and check your lock’s status from anywhere
- Manage up to 100 unique access codes per lock
- Schedule access codes as always-on, recurring at specific times / days, or temporary with a specific start and end date / time

In addition to the features & benefits above, the Schlage Encode deadbolt works with Apple HomeKit. After creating an account with Schlage, use the Schlage Home app to pair your lock with Apple HomeKit to:

- Create an Apple home key in the Wallet app for easy, secure access to your home using your iPhone or Apple Watch
- Create and manage always-on access codes in your Apple Home app
- Lock/unlock your deadbolt from your iPhone or Apple Watch
- Use Siri voice control to operate and check the status of your lock
- Make your lock part of automations or control it with the Apple Home app remotely when used with a HomePod or Apple TV set up as a home hub

The lock is difficult to pair when trying to add guests.

Air bnb customer could not get in

An air bnb guest just sent a video of the door not working when she entered the correct code

Schlage needs new tech people

Three days in and the lock loses connection to WiFi. No changes to my network. Attempts to reconnect fail and the app cannot take me to any troubleshooting links. It just goes to product advertisement. Tried the “virtual assistant” in the app and it did nothing. It’s still early but a seriously poor start and a limited app.

Difficult to use

Lock won’t stay connected to wifi even though it is 10 ft from router. Will not update firmware. App is not user friendly.

Clear interface, works smoothly

Excellent app. No bugs, clear user interface. It just works. So refreshing compared to many terrible apps I have to contend with.

Absolutely garbage

Attempted to share our locks on my wife’s phone. STUPID app requires her to set up an independent account and for me to share a virtual key. Went through the steps but kept getting an error. Went to delete my wife’s account and the STUPID app deleted my account. I had to initiate a new account and rekey EVERY lock I have. The developer team should be ashamed that they put such garbage on the market. Of all of the methods that could be used to share the app with family you came up with the most ridiculously complex and error prone. Not only do we have issues with some of the locks but now this! Wish I had bought a different product!!!

HomeKit integration lagging

Every time I open doors via HomeKit it complains that device is unresponsive and it either opens up seconds later or I have to resubmit command again.
