I have a Sena program on my Apple and I opened it up to update my Wife’s Shoei built in helmet Sena headset. I went ahead and plugged in my C5 with the Sena app and it worked much better to update the firmware. It is hard for me to understand the arrogance of some product manufacturers today who think that everyone carries a laptop around with them...ON A MOTORCYCLE, BICYCLE, etc, etc. It's a MOBILE WORLD and this is a Mobile App that should/could have easily incorporated ALL of the device software update features that are currently only available on Windows or macOS. My iPhone and iPadPro are more powerful computing platforms than most of the desktop/laptops on the market and yet Schuberth/SENA give us windowed-BAT-files. On a positive note, at least the QR Code Comm pairing in this app works and is appreciated. But, how about the ability to just touch on one of the paired Comm's in my list to initiate a Comm Session?!?!? I use the Mac OS on a MacBook and iPhone XS. Latest OS versions. The App connection to our helmets (C4 Pro) and SC1S communication units worked seamlessly! And the Mac firmware updater was easy to download and set up! Latest firmware versions installed on both helmets… I’m impressed! -- f(<j | v>), 2021-07-21 ### **--- "Doesn’t Work with latest Mac OS" If you have Mac OS Big Sur installed this app doesn’t see any of the Sena/Schuberth headsets. I had to use my wife’s MacBook with an older OS in order to update the firmware on two helmets. SC10U in C3 Pro and SC1A in my C4 Pro. Once I change computers and OS everything went smoothly. Now there is a firmware update, but the Mac OS app won’t recognize the helmet. Read that I’d need to reset to factory settings first. Since nothing is very user-friendly with this, am reluctant since things are working for now. Oh do I wish I had been able to see these reviews before spending several hundred dollars for a Schuberth C4 Pro and hundreds more for a SC1, the only comm choice to fit this Schuberth premium helmet! I am one of those geeks who actually reads the manuals. Still, I figured that I must have missed or misunderstood an operating and updating step. Therefore, I apparently wasted nearly six hours of my time trying to get this application to work with the communication unit. It simply does not work, period! It does not work on a Mac computer and it does not work on a Windows machine. To add to this obvious problem is the fact that there apparently is no support from Schuberth, who makes the helmet, or from Sena who is credited with developing and manufacturing the communication unit and it’s software. In today’s day and age it is really surprising that a company is allowed to do this. It is a truly ‘buyer beware’ situation. I realize that this is some type of mistake, but I still wonder how it is legal for a company to advertise, promote and sell a product that does not function as it is promoted. If you are reading this review and it has not been updated with an amendment or post script, do yourself a favor and simply remove this product from consideration. However, based on the dates of previous reviews, both Schuberth and Sena must be aware of the failures of this product yet have done nothing to correct their errors in at least a full year. I have no idea if their “update” would make any difference since, as others have stated, their update cannot be implemented by following the instructions.
