Instructions not intuitive. While everyone is trying to learn at home, this is trash.
Lots of hope but not for personal usage.... ScreenGuide no longer supports the management of family-owned devices - our focus is to help parents manage Apple devices owned by schools while their children are at home. If this can be explained or addressed I will change my review.. But why is the only option for device monitoring for a ‘school managed device’? I don’t get it. I want to use this app, but that issue has stopped me in my tracks. Currently looking for an app that promises similar features...
I need to regulate my nieces screen time on an old phone of mine that she uses to play games. The only option I’m given as far as what kind of device I want to add is a school monitored one. Am I missing something? I read through the description before downloading and did not see if this is strictly for school devices and if it’s not, how do I select something different? I’m not sure if anyone will be able to respond to this or not but I would very much appreciate some clarification please. Also, I don’t know how to rate this, seeing as I haven’t been able to utilize this app at all yet but taking my confusion and the user friendliness in consideration, I’ll give 3 stars. Will update with a proper review if/when this issue is resolved. - cheers
Why would you make this app?!?Now I’m begging my mom and dad to give me extra screen time. This is just mean.Very mean.😡I don’t like it.I don’t like it very much and thx to the person who made this app for being mean to me.Thanks a lot.Now I can’t play my iPad when I want to and I always have to beg and they won’t let me so I’m really looking forward to getting my new iPad but I guess my parents would just download this app that always skips 4 seconds on my device and thx for being mean to me.I hate this.
We have been using this app for awhile with minimal issues, however over the past week I am unable to access anything, I just get an error message with a big x. We have tried several things to fix it however nothing seems to work and we can’t seem to find any contact information. Disappointed and frustrated!
This app has been glitchy from the start but I gave it more than 6 months. There were sync errors, and many other glitches. Getting customer support was terrible for weeks until I finally got someone who spent 2 hours with me (yep, 2 hours) and I had to re-set my daughter’s phone TWICE. And finally it seemed to work for a few months (mostly) - there always seemed to be some sort of glitch (like if I cut off her time it would take 20 minutes to register on her phone that I had done it). Right now, even though my daughter has plenty of time on her phone and it’s not scheduled to turn off yet for bedtime, she can only use 4 apps (as if she has run out of time or it’s past her bedtime). And when I tried to submit a ticket to customer support doing that glitches out!!! It literally erases the ticket and gives me a url to nowhere. Oh, and there is a very easy way for a savvy kid on an iPad to get around the time restrictions (especially if they’re using apps that don’t require internet) - just turn off wifi and the device can’t connect to screen guide so time doesn’t count. So that’s it, I tried but it’s just not worth the hassle for an app I have to pay $30 a year for. When it worked it was just the thing but frankly it is unreliable and glitchy.
Come on. Get with the program
We downloaded the app to our kids phones and it worked perfectly during the free trial.... paid to have it monthly and now the timeout schedule hasn’t worked passed few nights. Luckily we have awesome kiddos and they’ll txt us to let us know the phones didn’t go off lol pls fix ASAP!!
