ScreenZen- Screen Time Control

Published by: ScreenZen

Description

Multiple strategies to reduce your screentime
1. Delay before opening your app: A bit of time before choosing if you need to open your distracting app. You can have the wait time increase each time you open your app.
2. Interrupt your scrolling: Check your distracting apps for short periods of time so you don't get sucked in.
3. Set an app goal and optionally block when you reach your limit.
4. Configurable for different days of the week and time by app.
5. Messages like "Is this important" before opening your app.
6. See your screen time for only your distracting apps. Don't worry about Google Maps bloating up your time.
7. Strict block your apps: Either for time ranges, after a certain number of opens or ScreenTime. Strict blocked apps can be hidden from the home screen.
8. Locks on Settings to prevent you from changing your settings when you want to open an app.
9. Breathing and other activities to encourage you not to need to open the app while waiting for it to unlock.
10. Streaks to encourage you not to exceed your limits or override your settings.

Missing hide feature

There used to be a button that hid all the blocked apps from my home screen. I can’t seem to find it anymore. Any idea why?

Major bug

The app worked at first, I got excited and I found it very useful, until a window popped up saying “screenzen would like to add vpn configuration” it gives the option to not allow so i didn’t (as i dont rally know what it eants and i dont want any virus on my phone etc tho i realized the app might not work without it but it wasn’t clear!!!) this message froze on my phone , the screen under switched on and off but not on my command and it didn’t react to touch at all! I tried turning the phone off but i couldn’t. My phone was complitely dead with the allow dont allow buttons in front of me, i could push them but they didnt do anything i even allowed it. After warching videos about it on another device i could restart the phone with the help of the side buttons but it took a while. THIS WAS SCARY AND NOT FUNNY AT ALL!!! If the app has such special needs than communicate it clearly!!! And explain these functions to those who dont get it DONT FORCE ME TO PUSH A BUTTON the app can say it wont work without it but it didn’t say anything like that it just gave no option and then froze. I wasted half on hour on this problem. This app has potential, congrats to those who had the idea it COULD BE useful so FIX this. 🙄

App of Your Dreams

The app works pretty well for me and you can customize your screen time in pretty much whichever way you want whether it just be certain days, hours, opening limits, times, etc. I’ve noticed it makes me think twice when I want to open a social media app which I like and greatly reduces impulsive use. Sometimes when I’m trying to open an app outside of the hours I’ve allowed, I’ll think twice and actually go catch up on some reading instead. Stellar app 5/5

Best FREE screen time control app!

This app has pretty much everything you might need for screen time control. And I love that it’s actually FREE. All the other apps only let you block like one app for free and that just hasn’t cut it for me. I love that you have the option to leave an tip instead though. I got this app to help me spend less time scrolling on social media, and it has helped me bring my daily average screen time down a ton. My only note is the “quick disable” function. I wish there was a way to lock that from myself so I don’t get lazy and unlock my apps for a couple hours or something. But I just do my best to be disciplined and I have the whole app count down 60 sec before I can do anything and that seems to be a good enough of a deterrent for me. 9/10 recommend!

Game changer!

ScreenZen has been a game change in trying to cut down in screen time. A set it and forget it was to set up bumper guards for my screen time not getting out of hand.
