Multiple strategies to reduce your screentime
1. Delay before opening your app: A bit of time before choosing if you need to open your distracting app. You can have the wait time increase each time you open your app.
2. Interrupt your scrolling: Check your distracting apps for short periods of time so you don't get sucked in.
3. Set an app goal and optionally block when you reach your limit.
4. Configurable for different days of the week and time by app.
5. Messages like "Is this important" before opening your app.
6. See your screen time for only your distracting apps. Don't worry about Google Maps bloating up your time.
7. Strict block your apps: Either for time ranges, after a certain number of opens or ScreenTime. Strict blocked apps can be hidden from the home screen.
8. Locks on Settings to prevent you from changing your settings when you want to open an app.
9. Breathing and other activities to encourage you not to need to open the app while waiting for it to unlock.
10. Streaks to encourage you not to exceed your limits or override your settings.

great app, the delay really helps to minimise compulsive app opens. would be great if you could just block the home page of certain sites though - i’d love to block the home page of reddit but still be able to access specific pages if i find them through google or whatever
This is the best app in the world
I saw this from Drew Gooden’s video and I love it! I can block websites, social media apps but not cut them off cold turkey if I don’t want to. I love the options of alternative actions before you open the blocked app. I don’t use them, but I love that the option is available for others who might use it. I have ADHD and this app is genuinely wonderful for getting me to stop doomscrolling and doom-commenting (😭) without making me feel like I’m struggling or heavily abstaining. Personally, it doesn’t trigger my demand avoidance, which could be super helpful for some people. I wish something like this existed for my other addictions haha. I will definitely be tipping, because I’m so grateful for all these options and the fact that they’re free as well. The little details as I explore the app really show that the creator really understands and really cares about people with a screen/app addiction. ♥️♥️ tysm creator, this is really helpful and really cool of you to create 🥹🩷♥️
Seriously helps, good for you mental health
Recommend downloading and if you can spare give a tip. It’s well deserved
This app is helping immensely, but…
I have two questions for the app. I don’t want the ‘quick disable option’. I can’t help clicking it to get another few minutes on the apps. Is there any way to remove this feature from one of your blocked groups? Also, can you also block the screenzen app itself, so I can’t use the quick disable as much?
outstanding app
as a 17 year old who just started college this app has been a game changer. Not only does it regulate your screen time but it gives you so many options. You can start out slow, with simple pauses to breathe before you open an app and work your way up to limiting the number of times you open the app. I appreciate how easy the process is and i LOVE the streak feature. Instead of blocking the app completely you’re told you’re about to lose your 24 day streak! total game changer - it made me sm more motivated to get off social media. Another thing I like is that you can write your own message - mine is usually something funny which always makes me smile. I also appreciate that there are no ads. Gave their spotify a follow too! Lovely app, i’m truly grateful
Brilliant for recovering lost time
ScreenZen is simple, efficient and free (at the time of writing). It is a wonderful tool for helping track and fight your screen time down.
The way ScreenZen functions is straightforwards and applicable with either a full on block or having it run on a schedule to function.
Overall, simplistically brilliant.
Finally, peace
I’ve tried other app blockers, and many helped. But I often found them to become annoying, or cumbersome, for when I actually needed to get into an app.
I had a real screen time problem, once getting to 8 hours in one app on a day. After one day of using screen zen I was down to 3 hours, and only a week in now I’m down to under 45 mins. Finally, peace and relief from doom scrolling.
Like genuinely works
I’d downloaded this app thinking I was a lost cause, I was so addicted to my phone and social media, and not only have I seen a difference in my screen time but a difference in myself thanks to the fact I am not glued to my phone (and in reality I really don’t miss it much)!
Lifechanging
This app has helped my twitter addiction. Also facebook and reddit. I highly recommend it !!!
Great
Like the app, easy to use and is better than many of the other paid apps for free
