## ScreenZen Description
Multiple strategies to reduce your screentime

1. Delay before opening your app: A bit of time before choosing if you need to open your distracting app. You can have the wait time increase each time you open your app.

2. Interrupt your scrolling: Check your distracting apps for short periods of time so you don't get sucked in.

3. Set an app goal and optionally block when you reach your limit.

4. Configurable for different days of the week and time by app.

5. Messages like "Is this important" before opening your app.

6. See your screen time for only your distracting apps. Don't worry about Google Maps bloating up your time.

7. Strict block your apps: Either for time ranges, after a certain number of opens or ScreenTime. Strict blocked apps can be hidden from the home screen.

8. Locks on Settings to prevent you from changing your settings when you want to open an app.

9. Breathing and other activities to encourage you not to need to open the app while waiting for it to unlock.

10. Streaks to encourage you not to exceed your limits or override your settings.

I’ve been trying to look for an app that had the capabilities of controlling my screen time efficiently. This app is amazing at actually being effective. Before you open a blocked app it starts a countdown (45 secs for example) which gives you time to reconsider the reason for going on the app and stops you mindlessly wasting time. It’s also freeee which I’m so thankful for. You can also tip on the app too which is nice :) but the 60 min disable all blocking button kinda defeats the whole purpose of the app in my opinion

I realised I was spending wayyyy too much time destroying my brain with Instagram reels so decided I needed a way to solve that. This app is incredible - it’s free it allows you to set your own limits and it also forces you to sit and think about “using your unlocks”. Definitely recommend if normal phone screen time isn’t enough for you

I’ve managed to cut down my screen time on TikTok by around half each day. I got this app because I didn’t want to be out of the loop but I really hated how much time I spent on Tik Tok especially. But I do use it on other apps like insta so I don’t like watch reels (basically same as Tik Tok) This app doesn’t block the app but helped me to realise what else I can do with my time and it’s free so far I hope it stays free 🤞🤞

My screen time has been cut down so much by using this app. It’s highly customisable and helps to stop you from doomscrolling. I don’t feel like opening instagram much anymore because of the 30 second opening wait time I have to sit through which means I have more time to be productive! It also is a great app because it isn’t blocked by countless paywalls and is just great in general. I recommend this to all people who are ambitious but stuck doomscrolling
