Genuinely a useful app
Helped me cut down my social media use and made me more aware of how much time I’ve spent on it throughout the day. Also fully customisable app limits and genuinely blocks them when you’ve hit your limit for the day (unlike apples screen time)
Great app, if only they fixed the bugs
Great app, let’s you manage screen time and block apps. Really great for managing and blocking apps.
The app is really buggy with times, every couple of days the times for the groups completely change and I have no idea why. It is a bit frustrating as it means resetting all the time windows again.
Life changing
Thank you for helping me with food addiction and compulsive behaviour. The impact this app has his huge. Your kindness shines through it.
Great app to reduce distractions!
This is a great little app to help avoid distractions from other apps at certain times of the day. For example, I can make sure games and social media are blocked whilst I’m at work and it reduces the temptation to go on my phone when I need to focus.
Setting up is OK, although could be a little more intuitive. When opening some of the app groups, such as games, there can be glitches which make it harder to select individual apps for blocking.
Blocking works well and is very customisable. For example, you can set how many times you are allowed to open an app during the blocking time and how long you are allowed to use the app for before it blocks again. Great for allowing yourself a quick social media break but then blocking again after a little while. You can setup different schedules, for example if you work different hours on different days or want to block different sets of apps in different situations. Schedules can be disabled, but there isn’t a “holiday mode” so you will need to remember to re-enable blocking.
There seems to be a glitch for me with apps that open in landscape (primarily games) where the Unblock button does not work. Other than this it’s a great app that I would recommend to anyone wanting to better manage their screen time.
Just pointless
It is so unbelievably easy to bypass it just becomes a slight inconvenience. If it actually helps you, just not having the app and remembering to get off your phone will be just as effective.
Great
This app is the best way to make friction between bad habits and reminds you to be mindful when making decisions. Helped me cut my screen time out by a large margin. Definitely recommend this app.
Major problem, will revise review if fixed.
I hate to give this great app a bad rating, but every single time I open the app without fail it will ask permission to use screen time, and every time I give it permission. Surely this should only pop up once, not every damn time. I’ve reinstalled nothing fixes it.
Doesn’t work
Sadly this app doesn’t work on my phone for some reason. When I try to add a group, none of my apps appear under the categories when selecting them, so I can’t add any. When I press add group, the list remains blank. (I assume due to not being able to select any) I would love to try this app, I have heard good things.
put simply, it works!
If you keep seeing ads for a certain other app to reduce your screen time, but you’re hesitant about the cost, this is the exact same thing and won’t cost you anything! You can customize which apps you want to block and have available with much more flexibility than Apple’s built in features, my screen time so far has dropped over 40% on average. I would recommend this to anyone who thinks they spend too much time doom-scrolling. thank you screenzen! ❤️
Amazing but I think this feature may help!
I find this app great and I like having custom messages to give to myself when I open apps however I do wish allowing notifications could be a feature integrated into the app rather than the shortcut option.
