I’m in my early stages of my writing career. This tool (not just the iPhone app) but the Mac desktop version as well allows you to organize all your thoughts so well. I went from “What is this Scrivener?” to “How did I ever live without Scrivener?” in twenty-four hours.

Every time the app needs to sync files from Dropbox, and no seamless sync, often creates conflicted files. iCloud sync would made it simple and lot easier. In dark mode, text colouring doesn’t work, no matter what colour we apply everything will be in grey colour. No multi-instances. Very hard to format pdf compile page. Not enough to use the potential of iPad.

They won’t evolve to iCloud sync and are adamant about Dropbox sync. Now this sync is useless because the books I create on the mac app and save on Dropbox won’t appear on the iOS version. I can open Dropbox app on my phone and see that the file created on mac is there but this useless scrivener app won’t detect it. They couldn’t get the basics right and have stopped updating their platform and we are stuck with what we heavily paid for.

I really love the app. But I think there should some other sync & save option other that just Dropbox. After paying so much money this little feature should be there. Dropbox only provides 2GB of space and extra we have to buy. At least provide iCloud sync if you can’t provide Google Drive. Can you do that?

This augments the desktop app but doesn't replace it. Great for adding text while you're mobile but I doubt you'd be able to write a complete novel on your phone, although I've heard that Peter V. Brett wrote his first book on a blackberry. The only part which is irritating is that sync depends on Dropbox and unless you trigger it manually, it can be flaky.

I bought this app because I love scrivener on my desktop. I loved the idea of writing integrated notes on my phone. However having used this app over several months I can say that it is entirely useless and in fact I have stopped using it even though it’s one if the most expensive apps on my phone. You have to store the documents in dropbox, and shut the software after finishing. It is just very tedious and there is hell to pay if you by chance forget to close the app. The phone to desktop integration is very clunky. I would recommend taking notes on the native iPhone app and just copying them to the desktop scrivener as the iPhone notes app is much better integrated. Also it is much much cheaper.

It lacks collaborative writing feature, don’t know why, it would have boost sale of the software.

It makes google docs look like a child’s toy ! This app is as good as an iPhone ! Shame if you are a writer and you don’t have this app on your iPad or iPhone ! It’s so handy , intuitive and has all those little things which make all the difference in the world to someone who is struggling to write a good novel ! It’s aesthetically appealing and I still wonder why no one in India has given a good review for it so far ! I took a risk of spending on this app and it’s really worth it ! All one has to do is create a project , go to draft and start adding documents after documents or chapters after chapters until you make a book ! Word counts , collective word counts and all those 100 different things will be easily understood on the way of writing ! It’s really cool ! Go for it ! Truly , Heartwarming app ! P.S. : this isn’t a paid review lol ! Edit 1 : Oi , it was working really fine but just after this recent logo change update . This lovely app has started to force shut down while its contents get synced with Dropbox . I guess it needs a bug fix . Please scrivener team , send us another update ! I use this to compose proposals, project reports and even presentations. Makes it easy to think and organize stuff. And then I import it into PowerPoint or Word to complete. Very nice piece of productivity software.

I own this app for every OS it exists. Super app and easy to get started. Once you get used to, all is amazing. I hope they add iCloud, Google Drive sync as well.
