No more faves list?

These sites and apps ought to know by now that their non-paying users contribute a lot too, but the trend is to shift more features over to paid members only. Most users don’t even know that more active local profiles are hidden in the “Venture” tab in the back end of the app now, but what happened to my Faves list? I used that to keep in touch with friends from all over and is that now a paid-only feature too? I’ve been on this app for nearly 15 years now but the gradual removal of useful features for non-paying users is going a bit too far. It’s not an incentive to pay.

The app was good until the most recent update.

The recent update to the app has made it pretty useless. With the grid now locked to 25 profiles, it’s hard to find anyone I’m interested in. I’ve been using the ‘hide profiles’ and ‘hide people I’m not interested in’ features to show more guys I might be interested in. I thought the advertising helped offset the cost for free members, but these changes basically made the app useless rather than limited. I think these changes might drive people away to other alternatives. I’ve been checking out similar apps that are less limiting.

Pay wall has become unworkable. Time to flee.

Less on grid

If you don’t pay. They have reduced the amount of people you can see. It was a greater amount to scroll them before the update. If they see that desperate for $ just become like Grindr and limit it more. Too bad this app is great for meeting guys and better than the latter. Guess it’s time to leave this one as well. Bye Felicia

Greedy developers…

The app has become extremely locked down behind its paywall and the subscription is overpriced. Better to connect on other apps these days.

Stuck in 1900’s

Jackpotcity sucks on

How is this app still not improving. Pictures take forever to load. A Christian mom with 3 kids sets the rules for which photos will be approved and not. The app is more restrictive now than ever before unless you pay a stupid amount. Garbage.

grindr but worse

app dude 😄😄 on

Canada

doesn’t let you see the whole conversation without paying, doesn’t let you filter the results AT ALL without paying, doesn’t let you have more than a couple chats at once without paying… avoid this greedy app at all costs.

Needs Encryption

jjjjjjjjjjjjx on

Canada

Scruff needs 256 AES encryption Option given how sensitive the data is kept in scruff and on scruff servers. Also better ways to hide location. Scruff only works when iOS has always for location enabled. Not a great user experience for this interested in privacy and data. I am not convinced scruff doesn’t sell data either. Encrypt users data now Way better privacy options needed Spend the money to protect your users. LGBTQ+ folks are vulnerable , our data must be treated as such Less marketed privacy more actual privacy High levels of encryptions should be used for chats, messages, photos, videos, albums etc Less compliance with law enforcement and authorities

Bad apps

Massoboy on

Canada

This app is not the best apps I had also if you want to meet someone better change for an other one because they can ban you at any time and they will not reimbouse your year subscription.

Can’t connect

Kilmister Groan on

Canada

I can’t connect to the app. Their own host provider is causing connectivity issues. They have made no public notice about there being an issue: they should notify their customers. Otherwise I’d give the app more stars.
