It kind of works on my LAN but half the time it wont successfully connect to the radio. When it does, the receive audio is very choppy and difficult to listen to. I think I wasted $50 on this unfortunately. Wish I could return it for a refund honestly.
Thank you Markus for your professionalism and hard work. This app is very useful for new Icom radios. For my opinion it’s mast have app. Probably next feature what many wants - is adding the voice digital modes like FreeDV. Also how about a FreeData or Winlink client inside smartphone.
Great job on this application. I am using it with an IC-705. I have the radio in my Airstream trailer in the backyard, interfacing with an HOA friendly antenna farm. This app allows me to work it all from inside my home instead. Please continue to work on it and improve it. Thanks!
The audio through the iPad on this application is choppy. If you try to tune around using the panadapter it freezes up and stops responding altogether. The software reset something on my radio that made so that my hand mic no longer transmitted audio when using SSB. I’m sure it’s some setting buried deep in the menus, but I couldn’t find documentation on it anywhere and so had to reset my radio to get my hand mic back. There’s a lot of potential here, but my radio should be returned to working condition after the software is disconnected and I shouldn’t be seeing things freeze up or hearing choppy audio. Overall, this still seems a little bit half baked. If I wanted to fiddle with flakey software, I would have just kept using my Xiegu.
I never sit in front of my 7610 anymore, I just sit on my living room chair and completly enjoy this app. The app is a masterpiece in programming and a joy to use. Jim, K6QE
This goes far beyond anything I might expected from such an app on my iPad for my IC 705. Not only does it provide a full-function remote control capability, but adds other tools such as FT8/FT4, logging, Pskreporter, and more. These are functions I would not have expected. It works beautifully.
Using this with my IC-7610 and as the title says it is a game changer for me. I can now work SSB remotely without any problems! Thank you developer. Well worth the money to me.
I just finished a 6 day POTA activation with this app running on my iPad Mini and it wirelessly connected to my IC-705 in AP mode. The app worked flawlessly !! Marcus, DL8MRE is amazing. I did have to turn off Bluetooth on the iPad because it was overpowering the Wi-Fi signal from the IC-705. 73 NC4RA
Awsome App. More modes like WSPR and Winlink would be fun, or APRS. If your Ipad keeps randomly disconnecting try turning off your routers 5g radio forcing your Ipad to stay on 2g. Cheers Earl AB9TX
I use this App for my ICOM 9700 around the house or when I’m away. It works WAY better than the official ICOM remote control software does and is more feature rich. Dual VFO Watch , for example, is not even a feature on the ICOM official software for the 9700. Great contribution and well worth the cost! This is a must if you have a IC-9700, 7610 or a 705
