## Second Press Description
stream independent music, pay artists fairly. second press is a music streaming platform where 85% of your subscription goes to the artists* you listen to.

THE PROBLEM:
the current music streaming system is broken - the major platforms pay rights holders only about a third of a cent per stream, they fund unethical ventures, and they're filling their catalogues with AI music trained on real artists' work without consent. musicians want somewhere else to go - somewhere that pays them fairly and supports their community. where listening stays affordable, except your subscription actually reaches the artists you play. second press exists to fill that void.

DISCOVERY:
no algorithm deciding what you hear. finding music here works more like flipping through crates at a record store. hit Surprise Me! to pull a record at random, dig through editorial playlists put together by actual people, or search by genre and see what's there.

WHAT YOU GET:
  • unlimited listening
  • 85% to the artists* you listened to
  • lock-screen + AirPlay controls
  • save songs, albums and playlists to your collection
  • listen to your music offline
  • follow artists & labels, build playlists, share what you love
  • browse by genre, label, or what your friends are playing
  • personal listening history, on-repeat, top artists
  • customise your playback with full EQ controls, crossfade, mono/stereo mode and volume normalisation

THE ROSTER:
independent music, curated by humans. a growing catalogue of indie, rock, alt rock, surf rock, psych, post-punk, punk, country, folk, new wave, egg-punk, roots, alt-pop, experimental, soul and left-field electronica, with new genres added every day.

*artist if self-released, or their label if signed. label-to-artist split follows each artist’s deal.
