Found a mushroom, flower, or bug, and not sure what it is? Open up the Seek Camera to see if it knows!

Drawing from millions of wildlife observations on iNaturalist, Seek shows you lists of commonly recorded insects, birds, plants, amphibians, and more in your area. Scan the environment with the Seek Camera to identify organisms using the tree of life. Add different species to your observations and learn all about them in the process! The more observations you make, the more badges you’ll earn!

This is a great app for families who want to spend more time exploring nature together, and for anyone who wants to learn more about the life all around them.

KID-SAFE

Seek does not require registration and does not collect any user data by default. Some user data will be collected if you choose to sign in with an iNaturalist account, but you must be over 13 or have your parents permission to do so.

Seek will ask permission to turn on location services, but your location is obscured to respect your privacy while still allowing species suggestions from your general area. Your precise location is never stored in the app or sent to iNaturalist unless you sign in to your iNaturalist account and submit your observations.

Our image recognition technology is based on observations submitted to iNaturalist.org and partner sites, and identified by the iNaturalist community.

Seek is part of iNaturalist, a not-for-profit organization. Seek was made by the iNaturalist team with support from the California Academy of Sciences, the National Geographic Society, Our Planet on Netflix, WWF, HHMI Tangled Bank Studios, and Visipedia.

### ***-- "Crashing app"
The app is crashing on iOS 18. More than a year without bug fixing or improving this app :( While scanning a organism with iPhone camera it focuses very bad. It is constantly switching from makro to normal camera and can’t focus. Maybe would be better to give us some beta version and allow us to write some tips for fixing this bugs. Thanks

### **--- "Opakuje splnění poslední výzvy"
Po aktualizaci, po každém záznamu opakuje že jsem splnil poslední splněnou výzvu. 
Další problém je že aplikace uloží fotku ještě dříve než zaostři. 
Přál bych si aby aplikace uměla další funkce:
1. tlačítko makro, při kterém fotoaparát by byl připraven že bude ostřit na krátké vzdálenosti. 
2. tlačítko plant/insect, který určí aplikaci na co se zaměřit. Stává se mi často že aplikace určí rostlinu a hmyz prostě ignoruje. 
Tyto tlačítka by byli přímo na displeji fotoaparátu a ne zahrabané někde v menu, jako třeba volba automatického záznamu.

Nečekal jsem, že bude mít takovou úspěšnost. Dokonce i z relativně velké dálky umí poznat. Jediná nevýhoda je optika telefonu, protože ne každé zvíře počká až přijdu blíž :-)

### **--- "Not incredible"
It recognizes some plants very fast, but others not so much. It’s not very useful when the app says “dicotyledons” instead of apple tree. 

App is also incredibly power hungry, turning my phone into a heater in less than a minute. It does a rather sloppy job with photos as well - PictureThis is faster and much more reliable and can be used for free, too.

Jestli hledáte aplikaci která pozná stromy podle listů, květiny, nebo jinou havěť, tak tato aplikace to umí suprově a zadarmo!

it reckognizes plants by leafs IN A SECOND (!)
it helps reckognise the mushrooms also
I just start using it to know what is around me..
as i am not a native english speaker, i would truly appreciate latin *** NAME COPY
OPTION *** so that i can search it in my mothrr language.
or lso add ´sharé´ button..
all in all i love this kind of application
