Was going to cancel during free trial. Seems almost al buy recs are after the money has been made. I am not interested in buying a stock at two hundred. I am interested in that stock when it is twenty and on its way to two hundred. I see too many buy recs in confirmed downtrends. On the positive side and the reason I subscribed is the site provides fairly good business news and varied prospectives.

EDIT: I’m sorry but I have to drop my rating. Please read below. In response to the dev who replied to my rating, , of course I deleted the app and reinstalled as the first step. Also forced power off/on for my iPad. I checked it on two other iPads we have in the house all with the same issue. It’s a bug, and it needs fixed. In addition, I contacted support back on August 11th. The support tech that replied to me was zero help. He didn’t understand the issue and told me to check other browsers. I explained it’s the app, not a browser and he has yet to respond to me. It’s been 8-9 days. I use the iPad app and do find the content valuable. However recently there has been a technical issue while using the app. I’m often several levels deep into various links or pages. Before, I could always tap the “seeking alpha” logo in the top left and it would take me directly back to the Home Screen. In the latest versions, tapping the logo doesn’t do anything now, all you can do is tap the back arrow but it only takes you back one level at a time. So it often takes numerous taps just to get back to the home page screen of the app. The iPhone app has the bottom navigation icons, one of which is “Home” so it’s super easy. The iPad app needs this or needs the top logo to link back to the Home Screen. It really makes it difficult to use, the navigation takes forever and has made me stop using the app and go to the web browser. Please fix this.

Now, it doesn’t work. Freezes

STOCK PICKS - I signed up for a 1 year subscription and will continue to renew. Wow. They beat the S&P500 by a large margin. I am honestly in shock. I started on 8/1/23. I tested this for a year and my portfolio has beaten the S&P500 by 2.4 times. Here’s what I do. I have a fixed dollar value to invest every time they release a stock pick. They release 2 picks a month & i buy that stock midday. I also created a virtual portfolio where I bought the identical dollar amount, same day same time, of an S&P 500 ETF so I could compare the diff in performance. The SA picks portfolio performance always beat the S&P throughout the entire year. They also seem to have a very mature picking system. A lot of stocks will be names and companies that you know and sometimes you’ll get companies you’ve never heard of. It’s a good mix and generates very good results. PRIVACY & CONTROL- The main reason I signed up for Seeking Alpha. I opened an account using the iPhone hide my email feature. Signing up for a subscription through the Apple Store has huge benefits. Cancelling is easy. It is controlled by you. Under your phone settings under subscriptions. Their app also has a setting to cancel. NO SPAMMING - this kinda surprised me because I don’t get spammed. You also have full control on feeds you want subscribe to. PREMIUM Subscription - I consider myself a novice trader. I end up spending a lot of time trying to research a stock or figuring out whether it’s a good decision to buy or not. This is where their premium subscription has made life simple. It’s a one stop shop for information. I don’t waste countless hours on research. They have an extremely impressive app and it is so easy to review various stocks and performance metrics. RATING system - This is where they really shine. They have different rating systems, including their own quant rating. They also issue grades on various factors related to the stock like financials, growth, etc. this way you don’t need to spend a lot of time diving into oceans of information. The grades just give you a summarized answer of what you’re looking for. Again, this is a huge time saver for me. CONS - Signing up for any special offers related to investing groups cannot be done through the app. You have to go to their website. Because of privacy reasons I prefer to stay within the app and any purchases must be done through the App Store only so I have full control. I think a lot of these groups have a basic and premium subscriptions
