Selena helps it remember. Whether you are lying awake at 3am, pushing through another afternoon of brain fog, or navigating the hormonal shifts that no one prepared you for, Selena meets you exactly where you are. Selena is a sound therapy app designed specifically for women. Built by Valentina, a former IT professional now studying social work, and her husband Gio, a software engineer, in their London studio. It is not a meditation app dressed up with pastel colours. It is grounded in decades of research on how specific sound frequencies interact with the nervous system, and shaped by real conversations with women about what they actually need. What Selena offers: - 3D Spatial Audio: immersive soundscapes that place sounds around you in three-dimensional space using HRTF technology. Rain falls from above, a stream flows to your left, birdsong drifts from behind. Close your eyes and feel surrounded. - Curated soundscapes for sleep, focus, calm, meditation, menstrual cycle support, menopause relief, and self-care - Binaural beats across Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma ranges to guide your brainwaves naturally - Solfeggio frequencies, including 432 Hz and 528 Hz, used in sound healing traditions worldwide - Isochronic tones for brainwave entrainment without headphones - Dozens of ambient sounds: rain, flowing water, birdsong, crackling fire, and more - Multiple noise generators, from white and pink to brown and beyond - A sound mixer so you can blend layers and adjust each one individually - A smart timer with gentle fade-out, so you drift off without interruption A note on the science. Binaural beats work by playing slightly different frequencies in each ear. Your brain perceives the difference as a rhythmic pulse and gradually synchronises with it. Decades of peer-reviewed research connect specific frequency ranges to relaxation, focus, and deeper sleep. Solfeggio frequencies have been used in contemplative traditions for centuries. Selena makes both accessible and easy to personalise.
