SPP photo kiosks are located throughout New York City and at events nationwide. Locate one and control the kiosk camera using your phone and this app. Capture Once you’ve connected, snap pictures and see them instantly on your phone. Share Share photos with friends, and choose your favorites to contribute to the Self-Portrait Project. Browse Sift through thousands of photos in the SPP archive by date, place, or keyword. … Created in 2009, the Self-Portrait Project is a photo-based, interactive archive project that seeks to capture the zeitgeist of New York City and beyond. A SPP kiosk utilizes a two-way mirror with a camera set up behind it. Standing in front of the mirror, the participant uses her/his phone as the remote trigger. The participant chooses how and when to shoot her/himself. In the simple act of letting the model be photographer, the dynamic of the potential photo changes and therefore the final image. Giving someone who is accustomed to having their picture "taken" the opportunity to document their own likeness under their own terms produces images that address issues of vanity and insecurity, empowerment and self-awareness, superficiality and substance. As the photographer *and* model, you are wholly responsible for the images you create of yourself. ## Self Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple128/v4/e1/c6/f6/e1c6f6d8-5bfb-a85e-5eb9-c08c92e4c148/pr_source.png/750x1334.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple128/v4/7f/4a/5c/7f4a5c32-9928-c778-815e-b4422fad25d2/pr_source.png/750x1334.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple128/v4/08/ca/c5/08cac5a3-fad0-bc94-847e-3756ce23a014/pr_source.png/750x1334.png) ## Self Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 12 (92%) - 4 stars: 0 (0%) - 3 stars: 0 (0%) - 2 stars: 1 (8%) - 1 stars: 0 (0%) ## Apps Similar to Self - [Portrait Sketch Camera](https://apptail.io/app/portrait-sketch-camera-eklb/united-states) - [Hotograph - Beauty & Fashion](https://apptail.io/app/hotograph-beauty-fashion-Trnc/united-states) - [Add Text: Write on Videos](https://apptail.io/app/add-text-write-on-videos-noIc/united-states) - [Selfie Drawing Camera](https://apptail.io/app/selfie-drawing-camera-kPud/united-states) - [Professional Photo Frames - Instant Frame Maker & Photo Editor](https://apptail.io/app/professional-photo-frames-instant-frame-maker-photo-editor-fPLd/united-states) - [Cinema Look Pro](https://apptail.io/app/cinema-look-pro-yile/united-states) - [Funny Photo Frame - Free Pic and Photo Filter](https://apptail.io/app/funny-photo-frame-free-pic-and-photo-filter-vIEe/united-states) - [MirrorImage-Reflection your photos](https://apptail.io/app/mirrorimage-reflection-your-photos-jYMf/united-states) - [Cartoon Selfie Camera](https://apptail.io/app/cartoon-selfie-camera-IdOf/united-states) ## Self Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/self-portrait-project-bJRk/united-states) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/self-portrait-project-bJRk/canada) - [China](https://apptail.io/app/self-portrait-project-bJRk/china) - [Algeria](https://apptail.io/app/self-portrait-project-bJRk/algeria) - [United Arab Emirates](https://apptail.io/app/self-portrait-project-bJRk/united-arab-emirates) - [Honduras](https://apptail.io/app/self-portrait-project-bJRk/honduras) - [Israel](https://apptail.io/app/self-portrait-project-bJRk/israel) - [Taiwan](https://apptail.io/app/self-portrait-project-bJRk/taiwan) - [Hong Kong SAR China](https://apptail.io/app/self-portrait-project-bJRk/hong-kong) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
