## SelfieX Description
The app lets you take selfies with the better rear camera of the iPhone. The problem is, when you turn the screen away, you can’t see if your face is framed the way you want it to be. This app voices directions to guide your framing: right, left, up or down.

When you aim the iPhone at your face at the right angle, the app automatically takes a photo.

Turn your phone back to make quick edits (crop and tune brightness, contrast, saturation) and share.

How it works:

1. Aim your iSight camera at yourself
2. Listen to the instructions while catching the angle
3. Turn your device back
4. Edit, save and share

## SelfieX Reviews in United States

### ***** "Being honest"
This app is a pretty good app it sometimes doesn't capture the best angles I asked my be my eyes app and it said it wasn't the best ankle but it still gives you a general area and a pretty good picture though you still have to position the camera slightly but I think it gives you a pretty good picture anyways but you still have to experiment a little bit but it's pretty easy to take a picture this is a great app for blind people like me
-- Becca, 26, 2025-05-17

### ***-- "Good concept but needs customization"
The app should have a countdown option after detecting the face instead of automatically taking the picture upon detecting a smile. While detecting a smile and taking the picture automatically is a nice feature, not everyone wants to smile in every picture.
-- Sam@App, 2024-07-14

### ***-- "ads… 🙄"
the functionality of the app is great, but there needs to be a way to get rid of ads; there’s a plethora of voices for sale for $.99, but not one option to pay to get rid of ads. ads in a camera app it’s just infuriating.

also, the response between when the voice says “cheese“ and the shutter click is WAY too quick; there should be a second or two to prepare yourself.
-- 🤔 Lemme Ponderosa, 2023-10-13

### ***** "00Blind7"
This is an AMAZING app! I’m legally blind and every time that I wanted to take a selfie,I nearly have to beg someone to do it but no more since I’ve found this app! This app does it all! All I have to do is turn on the app and hold my phone out in front of me or procp the phone up in front of me and let the positioning voice in the app do the rest. To the left,To the right,Look up,Look down, Say Cheese! Picture is taken. A fun and helpful app! Thumbs Up to the Developer!
-- jcmind0009, 2022-07-23

### ***-- "Could be better"
Every time I try to take a picture all it say is “I can’t see you” but it doesn’t tell me what I need to do to get it to find my face.
-- Esperance🐚, 2019-06-12

### *---- "Won’t let me into it!"
I heard about this from a blind friend and thought this might work for me to take photos, (yes, I am blind but I like to take pictures too). The voice directions would’ve been helpful, but the app kicks me out every time I click on it.
-- Rifal Hamdaan, 2019-04-15

### ****- "It works!"
Tried it on my new iPad Pro; voice only says “I can’t see you”, but when it does locate my face, it automatically takes the photo (with flash). Very useful for getting full-body selfies (fashion, etc.). Wish there were a way to remove the ads and to turn off flash feature—then 5 stars!
-- BAR112, 2019-01-01

### ***** "Top notch"
As an iPhone 6 user, I’ve always struggled with lowlight selfies and selfie quality. Perfect app to fix my problems!
-- Rocco Ritter, 2017-11-26

### *---- "Stopped working"
Worked initially but now no sound so it's useless.
-- Aandhi, 2017-02-11

### *---- "Ads ads ads"
And some more ads
-- Gord On, 2017-02-10
