SendTemps checks the local temperature, humidity, dew point, and wind at your crag and turns them into a clear friction score and send window. Every outdoor climber knows the frustration: a crag that felt sticky last weekend now feels greasy, and no generic weather app tells you why. The reason is friction — a combination of temp, humidity, dew point gap, wind, and your rubber choice. HOW IT WORKS 1. Set up your profile: sweat level, rubber type, and your home crag with rock type (sandstone, granite, limestone, or conglomerate). 2. SendTemps checks the current weather at your crag's coordinates. 3. You get a friction score from 0 to 100 with a GO, CAUTION, or STOP label, plus the four weather values that drove it. It takes 20 seconds to set up. No account required. CORE FEATURES (FREE) Friction Score See today's score for your home crag with a color-coded label and the four component values (temperature, humidity, dew point gap, wind). Rock Type Awareness Choose your crag's rock type. Results come with a reminder to respect wet-rock ethics, especially for porous sandstone and conglomerate. Local Weather Current temp, humidity, dew point, and wind from your crag's coordinates — not a distant city. Upgrade to Pro for deeper insights: - Up to ten saved crags with side-by-side comparison - 7-day hourly friction forecast - Top 3 send windows per day - Rock-type dry-out timer after rain (sandstone, granite, limestone, conglomerate) - 72-hour rainfall tracker per crag - Daily send temps alert and dry-out ready alert PRIVACY FIRST All data is stored locally on your device. No account, no sign-in, no tracking. Location is used only to fetch weather data from Open-Meteo. Your coordinates are never stored on any server. This app provides condition estimates based on weather data and general climbing community guidelines. It is not a substitute for in-person rock assessment, experienced climbing partners, or professional guiding. Always verify rock condition by touch and respect local closures after rain. Weather data by Open-Meteo.
