This is probably one of the worst app I ever seen. Support is almost inexistant and it is virtually impossible to exchange with a real person - you always end up being redirected to supposedly informative pages with still no solution to your problem. Client support is a real joke. More than one month after installation, Sense has yet to recognize basically all my largest appliances including: dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and microwave oven and I’m still not 100% sure if the refrigerator is accounted for! Mind you, my Sense was installed by a professional electrician, and I properly filled the questionnaire (actually more than once), mentioning all the appliances in the house. At this point of time, according to the app I own 6 cooktops which is laughable because I use a gas oven for cooking and the app says it’s 95% sure of that based on user answers (good luck if you try to change the app’s proposition for the actual appliance in usage). That brings me to another very funny thing. I live in Quebec, Canada, and my energy consumption is compared to, guess what, households based in Massachusetts! I’m very knowledgeable about apps, computer softwares and programing, and believe me I never seen something as bad as that. You have a lot of work to do guys… In the meantime, I won’t recommend Sense, that’s for sure!

It’s a great system for checking overall usage and by device, only feedback would be improving the to include adding devices manually, maybe in an improved watt check. Being able to add a device by turning it on. Sense seems to struggle to identify many smaller devices

For energy saving, this is an amazing device

Had sense for years and worked great. I recently added solar and on the solar screen which shows the triangle of energy sent between the solar, the grid and the home; the app crashes each time I select ‘To Grid’

Learning what is using powers where and when in my house is become an addictions of sorts! But sense solar is 100% worth it / I would buy it again. Being able to track when I am producing more than I am consuming is critical to maximizing my ROI on my solar system. The solar inverter monitoring only gives half the picture. This solution gives the complete picture

My entire house is on pumps My well is 180 ft deep and being a 40 yr plumber it used to drive me crazy wondering if the well pump is working properly After sense i can watch my pressure gauge and sense app and see the pump come on for 30 seconds then shut off I know pump is good Also all other pumps and just everything About it is great I’m energy conscious and I would honestly say between the furnace space htr and my air to air heat pump I definitely figured out how to save$$$ big time at heating season It’s great

Sense has been awesome so far! It’s fun to see your electrical usage real time. I’d love to see some Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets though for Solar!

Purchased this device two years ago next month and have a documented customer service file history. Final conclusion for me is that if your intent is to know how much energy your toaster consumed this morning then SENSE is for you. However if it’s for serious monitoring of appliances that you pay electric bills towards and want to measure and have actionable information on, then pass. Use a product that has wired sensors to major draws ( HVAC, hot water etc) and buy a dozen monitoring plugs for far less money.

Connection issues. The tech support department appears to be staffed by kindergarten dropouts and take at least one day to get back to you with more questions or comments. After 3 weeks of trading emails, we were back to square one. Problem never resolved.

The app layout and features are just amazing. Hoping for an API and localization someday
