ServerControl allows you to reboot or shutdown your Windows computers as well as control their services remotely from your iPhone, wherever you are.

Managing Windows servers inevitably means rebooting them, or restarting services, and ServerControl is a very convenient way to do this. If you’re out of the office, simply connect over your VPN and initiate a reboot or restart a hung service.

For home users, if you stream videos to your iPad whilst in bed, use ServerControl to shut down your PC afterwards.

ServerControl connects directly and doesn’t use or require a Remote Desktop session.

No additional software is necessary on the remote computer.

REBOOT/SHUTDOWN
- Immediate or delayed reboot/shutdown.
- Choose whether running applications should be forced to close.
- Choose from 4 editable messages to display to logged on users.

Latest version keeps crashing

A unique app that worked well until recently, lately it just keeps crashing when you submit a shutdown request.

Great bit of kit

I have a service, which is a bit unstable. This is just the job to quickly stop and restart it without fiddling with remote desk top. Had to fettle with the windows firewall to get it working remotely, but now works like a dream. Instant support response by email. Highly recommended.

Brilliant app to use to remotely restart services and shutdown servers. Works extremely well and very useful.

Excellent

This app is really handy for shutting down and basic management of MS servers. If it also included WOL that would be the icing on the cake. Customer support has been excellent too, the last release got broken by IOS 8 and after initially advising there was no plan to update it, some weeks later an email arrived saying a new version had been submitted.

Can't do anything useful without paying

Shame really, app looks fine, nice access to services. I needed to manage some custom services on my server but can't really do anything but shut down without paying. I didn't have any issues connecting however, I don't know what the 1* reviewers are smoking, or if they're just amateurs, but it "works" just fine out of the box.

Nice app. Saved me loads when working away from work. VPN in on my phone then select servers and reboot. I have the paid version. Well worth the money.

Great for home or work

This is probably the best techi app I've used. It uses windows built in RPC service so no silly agents to install. Providing the administrator account is enabled and password set on remote pc it works like a charm. I even use it over VPN to work. The purchased adons are worth it to so you can restart or manage a remote service. Top dollar!!

works as expected, but ...

this is perfect for my needs, it works perfectly whenever I need to shutdown my lappy or PC. it was a faff to setup, but if you have a computer and know how to read the instructions or do a simple search via Bing (or yahoo or, forgot the other search engine, hahaha), setting up admin account in xp, win7 etc, is relatively easy, and you don't need a stupid bonjour enabled 'server' software which fails if the software is updated. With this, if you cannot connect to the computer to shut it down, then it is already turned off.

Does what it says on the tin

Works perfectly. Needed an app to simply shut down a remote server. I use WOL to switch it on for streaming purposes, once done, shut it down with this app. I wouldn't mind spending the premium IF it would support WOL as well so I don't have to use two apps :) It is working perfectly on Server 2008R2 btw.
