Description

SF-1 is a dual Stereo Filter Effect with a special focus on expressiveness.
Built around 2 multimode filters with multiple filter models that can be configured to run in series, parallel or one per channel, SF-1 is true filtering powerhouse.
It's built-in XY-Pad can be automated over a maximum of 4 bars which makes sequencing complex filter sweeps as easy as it could possibly be.
With Pad-Lock, the XY-Pad will always return to a set location after lifting a finger allowing for a wide range of play styles.
In addition, Pad-Engage/FX-Release only enables the effect while the XY-Pad is being touched and applies a tempo synced delay effect when lifting the finger making it a great option for expressive live performances.

SF-1 Stereo Filter Reviews

Should have stuck with FD-1

I saw where someone complained about the GarageBand crashing but I figured a year after the developer responded it would have been fixed by now. Even in Cubasis 3 it’s very glitchy. Is it worth hoping for fixes in future updates?

Great Filter

Don’t think because it’s free it’s not good. I reach for it before the toneboosters dual VCF quite often because I get on well with the big knobs on the interface. It sounds great to my ears and easy to get some modulation going. This was good enough to convince me to get the RE-1 tape unit, which is a beast. The FD-1 is my favorite though. That thing is endless rhythmic and textural experimentation. Pure brilliance.

Crashes GarageBand

This AUv3 Crashes GarageBand instantly but it’s a great, useful filter. Since GarageBand doesn’t have the best automation options, this will hopefully be really useful with the built in automation.
