SGSecure is Singapore’s community response to the threat of terrorism. It is a movement to build the resilience of our community and a call to action to everyone in our society to come together to safeguard Singapore and our way of life.

Use the SGSecure app to:
- send videos, photos and incident details to the authorities if you see anything suspicious.
- receive timely alerts from the authorities in the event of major emergencies, as well as security-related updates and advisories.
- activate the Personal SOS feature to contact the Police via the Police’s SMS 71999 service, and allow them to access your approximate location, if you require emergency Police assistance but are unable to call ‘999’.
- contact the authorities when you require emergency assistance.
- receive alerts and respond to nearby cardiac arrest cases and minor fires.
- locate the nearest AED in your vicinity.

The technology behind the SGSecure app has been updated to improve user experience. As part of the update, the user interface has also been redesigned.

Good Initiative in Uncertain Times

There’s a lot of kids posting on the review but here’s a sincere one from me. Good initiative to have in uncertain times, I do think Singaporeans should download it in case you witness suspicious activities. Don’t take safety for granted. That aside, intrusive to keep asking for background refresh on location for certain features. Should give user abit more flexibility of only being tracked when I open the app.

Cannot submit report for something suspicious

Keep having error and cannot submit report for something suspicious

Good in theory but dislike the forced downloading carried out by superiors

A handshake is basically a promise, commitment, a tall order. Means I must meet that tall order and it's for you! And it's for you in sense that three fingers also pointing me, it's also for me! It's for us. And if the result is good, thumbs up man! And if the result is lousy, what happens? BOO! BOO TO PAP!

No alerts but app badge shows 1

I’ve had the app installed for some time, there are no alerts, but the app badge shows 1, and it’s stuck at 1. Can you fix it? Otherwise I would turn off the app badge and it would defeat the purpose of keeping the app installed in the first place..

Support for older iOS version

Why can’t Developers continue to support older iOS version, rather then requesting user to get newer phone. Appreciate if the team could consider those lower income group. Thanks.

Wake up

Good initiative but let’s not force people to download things on their personal phone against their own will. Even nsf are not spare! We are not dictatorship country. Everyone need to speak up against this mediocre and oppressing management.

Notifications cannot be removed

After the latest update, even after reading the alert notifications, the number counter remains on the app icon.

Permanent notification badge after update

After update to latest version, my app icon keeps showing a red notification badge with number “1”. I opened inside but don’t have any new notifications.

still very prevented from using sgsecure despite numerous attempts. i really like the actual response team is very quick and amazing in a lot of ways but the app itself seems easy to for hackers to disintermediate from. i can’t respond with the new app because it keeps saying unexpected error. same as ocbc. so, yes… i really hate the hackers and wish response could be better about it. even from singcert it felt lackluster. individuals can’t be expected to be able to fend for themselves. cybersecurity is geared toward protecting companies because they can afford it but individuals cannot and so we are easy targets.
