The instructions are incomplete. The app never connects to the device ; even when it shows successful in your WiFi settings. Sometimes the app crashes while trying to connect and goes into a hung state with a blank screen. -- caljacknc, 2025-02-21 ### ***** "Works great!" Bought the SMD2489ES drawer microwave and I love using the app to control it. Much easier scrolling through menus on the control panel. Keeps the fingerprints off too. App loaded right away, set up my account with an immediate confirmation email, and it’s worked great ever since! -- RyFryDude, 2024-01-10 ### *---- "The app wasn’t great before, but now…." It won’t even open. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing. Totally useless. -- Flatulent Fred, 2023-12-31 ### *---- "App Does Not Work" Stuck at the loading screen, app never opens I’ve deleted the app twice and power cycled the phone, nothing works. -- orlickg, 2023-12-31 ### *---- "No google home or siri integration in 2023" 0 stars because sharp home has not integrated with Google , making this app useless for voice commanding the microwave. Also Wi-Fi setup is the clunkiest of any device I have ever set up. Appalling for a $1500 microwave -- ryanj9751, 2023-11-23 ### *---- "unable to connect. Impossible." After connecting to wifi the app will not allow you to click the next button to move to the next screen to enter one time code. I have tried multiple times on multiple devices. Frustrating. Useless. -- UniqueHunters.com, 2023-10-08 ### *---- "Can’t even create an account" App simply does not work. Tried five times to create an account, always fails. -- ben yitz, 2023-09-01 ### ***-- "Will not connect to WiFi" Can’t get microwave to connect to WiFi. Go through all the steps but at end it says “Connection Failed “. Does not tell what issue made it fail. Was working fine up to a few months ago. Will search web for solution or call support. However the WiFi is not critical since it’s easier to just press buttons on front panel to cook food than opening app. But the WiFi under counter model looks much nicer than the one without WiFi. -- Techie 99, 2023-08-16 ### *---- "One of the worst" The set up is the most complicated of any appliance Wi-Fi apps I’ve ever done. Well, I shouldn’t say done, because I just gave up before I finished a total waste of 30 minutes for a non-operative app got stuck at the first level because our appliance would not allow you to get to the Wi-Fi function. -- 236Hokie, 2023-01-15 ### **--- "Very nice gimmick!" Microwave connects to WI-FI. Yes. And there is a super-clunky app that offers absolutely nothing useful. It does do a really good job of spamming your phone with useless messages- “microwave cooking”. “Door closed” - that you cannot control or disable from the app. Maybe add temperature information or estimated time remaining for sensor cooking. -- JBandrew, 2022-12-31 [View all Sharp Kitchen reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Sharp Kitchen Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/sharp-kitchen-iQHc/united-states) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/sharp-kitchen-iQHc/canada) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
