## SHC Budget Blinds Description
The SHC hub and App has been re-designed to embrace the architecture of a home and provide effortless control of motorized shades. Easily operate or Personalize the daily routine of shades; organising them by room, grouping them by scenes and automating them with timers. Unlock the convenience of smart shade operation, with the Smart Home Collection with Version 3.0 app

The new Smart Home Collection App not only allows you to activate, adjust and automatically position your shades but does so through One Tap on the Shade Tiles. One Tap to close, One Tap to open and One Tap to activate and stop scenes. A double tap stops a shade’s operation, and a single long press opens a dedicated shade control screen giving you access to more customized settings.

White tiles indicate the shade is open or partially open and a shaded tile indicates the shade is closed.

Quickly view the Health Status of all your shades. A summary screen displays the battery levels of all your shades along with signal strength indicators, prompting necessary action to either charge your motors or troubleshoot connections.

Smart Home Collection App lets you create an automation routine, and once setup, autonomously raises and lowers your smart shades at the optimal time, so your home’s climate is always at its best.

The Smart Home Collection app has been designed to make controlling your shades easier than ever with a long list of features and control options!

MOTOR TYPES

The SHC hub supports a variety of shade types including: Roller Shades, Romans, Awnings, Drapery, Venetians, Cellular, Skylights, Large Outdoor Shades. Support for Top Down, Bottom Up devices are now available.

LIVE FEEDBACK VIA ARC

ARC technology enables live communication between your Smart Home Collection and Automate shades, so you always know what position your shades are in, as well as the battery percentage of your motor. Quickly check shade information within the app or ask Siri to check for you!

SUNRISE AND SUNSET DETECTION

Utilizing your home’s time zone and location, the Smart Home Collection app can automatically raise or lower your shades according to the position of the sun. Set a ‘Morning’ scene and watch all your shades promptly rise when you start your day, or create an “Evening” scene that will dynamically alter based on the sunset in your location.

SCENES

Personalize shade control and organise how your shades operate by specific daily events or scenes automatically at the optimal time. Creating a scene for your entire home can be completed effortlessly with a Scene capture button.

SHADE HEALTH

Check the health of your motorized shades at a glance with Battery level and Signal strength icons on your device tiles.

COMPLETE CONTROL HOME AND AWAY

If you have multiple locations like a home, office, or vacation home, simply switch between them for independent control. Always be in charge of your privacy and security! Enjoy your time away from home without having to stress about your shades, the Smart Home Collection app allows you to remotely access your shades, know their position and operate them as you would if you were home.

PERSONALIZED EXPERIENCE

Share your hub with multiple users! Each user can create their own profile and a list of their favorite devices and scenes.

HOMEKIT

The SHC hub is HomeKit compatible, shades are automatically added to the Home app and can be controlled with voice commands via Siri compatible devices.

## SHC Budget Blinds Reviews in United States

### ***** "Tech support"
We have had our motorize blinds 2 and half years now, and anytime we have needed help with the app or modem, this guys have been fantastic, today Quenten helped us because one blind was not performing A+ and he is so nice and patient guiding us and solved our problem super quick and efficiently, worthy of an A+ recommendation
Thank you so much

### *---- "Update the shades tabs to include how much power is left"
Not sure why this wasn’t though of before but it would be incredibly helpful to know how much battery is left for each shade and to also receive a notification when there is less than 10% remaining.

Your app is also a liar and keeps telling me shades are open/closed when they aren’t. I have problems with your app not connecting to the shades multiple times per month.

Is it also really that hard to offer troubleshooting on your app? Not to mention if there’s issues with Wi-Fi connectivity with shades too.

Honestly do better. This product has been a huge disappointment for the price point and I could have saved $ by just going to Lowe’s.

Do not buy from budget blinds either. Once they take your $ and you experience an issue they don’t contact you to resolve.
-- Eribo, 2024-12-09

### *---- "Almost useless"
I have 5 motorized shades that use this system, and 6 that use a different one and work flawlessly.
The ones from Budget Blinds almost never connect to the app even though the hub is no farther than 14ft, on a clear surface with no obstacles. If on a lucky day the app connects to the blinds, it only performs one function per blind; let’s say you open one blind to 50%, you won’t be able to perform other action unless you kill the app (not close it, kill it) and re open it.
-- Monchisaurio, 2024-10-18

### *---- "Useless App and Hub"
Here I sit once again trying to reconnect my stupid hub to the router. If only I had looked at the reviews before buying this Budget Blinds disaster. The troubleshooting section is useless. So much wasted time with this system that wouldn’t be user friendly for 2004 let alone 2024.
-- IllinoisJim, 2024-07-09

### ***-- "Functional but incorrect time zone"
This works for setting timers, but the time zone is clearly incorrect and I can't figure out how to fix that. Is there some way to change the time zone? Maybe it was set up incorrectly, but the people who installed it did the set up.
-- BZ421, 2024-06-10

### *---- "Horrible app"
The connection process is absurd. If it doesn’t work, you are left with no options. If you want to reconnect, you can’t. It just doesn’t work
-- TK432, 2024-04-18

### **--- "Not connecting at time zone selection"
This was infuriating - after digging around and a lot of trial and error I disconnected from WiFi and used cellular to get past the “select your time zone” screen and complete the setup. The error message of “resetting your settings” was completely unhelpful. If I didn’t have to use this app I wouldn’t. Still two stars cuz at least it worked eventually and setting up the shades was pretty straightforward
-- JBFBELL, 2024-04-17

### ***** "John"
Worked with Kirill on a retrofit project. He was available and helpful. A good experience.
-- Werm Jerky, 2024-03-22

### *---- "“Upgrades” strike again"
I hate this app now. Like every other app, every time there’s an update, it gets worse. I used to be able to click on a shade icon to go into it, and then select open, close, or set a position. Now whenever I click a shade icon, it toggles open or close. Or a room icon toggles all shades. I have to click and HOLD to get into the shade now. How is this an upgrade? It takes longer to do what i want to do.

Like every other smart app, i wish i can revert to a previous version.

### ***** "Great customer support for setup!"
Working great for 1.5 years. Support very helpful for my initial setup and my recent switch of routers.
