I had been looking for a good terminal emulator in order to connect to my Linux severs for quite a while. This is the only app which gives you not only a full keyboard and customizable terminal, but also keeps the connection alive as long as possible. Other apps would disconnect after a few seconds in the background but not this one. In my opinion the premium version is well worth it.
Superior SSH Client
There are a slew of SSH apps available, but as far as straightforward ssh client applications go, this one provides the best convergence of utility, simplicity, and value. It ponies up everything one needs to manage one’s hosts—from workstations to servers—on the go, has a nice graphical presentation, and a rather good keyboard configuration environment. This last is not as minor as one might imagine, as access to asterisk, slash, and exclamation, keys is otherwise difficult and frustrating on an iPad or iPhone.
If it had an integrated cousin or sibling that worked on Mac desktop and laptop computers, it would be practically unbeatable, and best of all…NO GREEDY SUBSCRIPTION SCAM.
Fast, simple, clean!
Excellent ssh client, well-integrated with iOS. Respects your privacy too. Couldn’t ask for more, well worth the upgrade to Pro.
Best iOS SSH client
Shelly is the best iOS SSH client; I've tried about a dozen of them. It has a clean interface and easy cursor movement by sliding your finger over the screen. Probably the best feature is the extensively customizable row of keys at the bottom of the screen. The app remains connected to the server when you move away to use a different app.
Vulnerable to Terrapin-attack
This client is vulnerable to the Man in the Middle "Terrapin" attack. I have moved to the "Secure Shellfish" ssh client which has been updated to protect against this attack.
Not the best anymore
Whatever they did to break drawing when uses curses related programs I wish they would fix it. Hasn’t worked for a long time. Always draws garbled even when using CP437
Outstanding Value
Just simply outstanding. This is my only go to SSH client when I’m away from my computer. I host multiple linux systems using this terminal and have been for years. This is just as good as putty. Get the premium version, you will forever thank me.
Worth it
I just carry around my iPad Pro now. Its a great app for any network engineer. I’m thoroughly pleased. I’d like to know if the make a tool to use a console cable with an iPad, thats the only thing I’m missing. But this app is wonderful
No SFTP
Of little use without secure ftp protocol
Misrepresents a free nature
As the store page shows an absence of in app purchases indication this misrepresents.
On the opening screen it pursues a paid model.
This doesn’t mean it is an incompetent program. It is just a misrepresentation.
