I think this app is brilliant. I have tried others but this one has it all. Love the ability to use ssh keys and all the features that I have found work really nicely. Thoroughly good value. Get the premium version.

Best SSH client on iOS/iPad OS

pdan on

Having used a lot of iOS/iPad OS SSH clients, and Linux admin for decades, this is -by far- the best SSH client I have ever seen. Been using it for a couple of years. Supports every scenario I could think of, including iPad physical keyboard, zoom, arrows, control chars, colors, etc. Look no further than this.

Wonderful

I've had a few of these over the years and after 1 year of working with Shelly, I can certainly say it is the best by far. The makers really put a lot of effort into thinking about the user and making it intuitive, while providing all the required capabilities and configuration. Buy it with your eyes closed...

So far so good. Some extra features will make it great.

So far this is the best SSH client that I have tried. It handle my SSH identities better than the others I have tested. Performance is good, and I have quick access to all the normal keys I might need in an SSH session. I wish I could enable an option to request fingerprint each time a key is requested from the agent - that would make things much safer.

Great and does it’s job - one bug holding it back

I’ve been using this for a while now and the premium version is absolutely worth it. There is one issue with the iPad version that I always had, if I use Shelly in a split-screen multitasking view, I cannot use text input in the other app. It seems input is locked to Shelly so I have to force close Shelly to be able to type in the other window which quickly gets annoying. This doesn’t seem to be limited to split screen, if Shelly is open in the background this will still happen until the connection is terminated after the 30 seconds is up. Would love to see a fix for this.

Great

I can’t stress enough how well this app works and how convenient it is to have on my phone.

Shelly is the SSH app you are looking for!

If you want the best SSH app to log into your server(s), then this is the app for you! I tried lots of ssh apps but each one let me down one way or another. Shelly has so much to offer and it works fantastically. My favourite function is the support for authorised key log in, using rsa keys. I can finally log into my server from my iPhone or iPad with authorised keys enabled and passwords disabled or enabled. The customisation of Shelly is brilliant, I have the font and colours set just perfectly. I love the fact the price is a one off purchase, hats of to you for that! I reiterate, if you want the best SSH app then this is the app for you!
