## Shepard Fairey AR Description
It’s been nearly 10 years since Shepard Fairey’s last solo exhibition in his hometown of Los Angeles and the iconic HOPE imagery he created for then Presidential candidate Barack Obama. Now for the very first time Shepard Fairey's work has been transformed into a Augmented Reality experience. Experience his most ambitious show to date, aptly titled DAMAGED.

In this unprecedented political climate, Fairey’s message has changed from hope to purpose: “DAMAGED is an honest diagnosis, but diagnosis is the first step to recognising and solving problems. I definitely think that art can be part of the solution because it can inspire people to look at an issue they might otherwise ignore or reject.”

DAMAGED also takes aim at another hindrance to reformative communication: social media. For what should be the most meaningful platform for important discussion ever created, discourse has fallen secondary to self-indulgence and celebrity: “Even prior to the election, I’ve been troubled by the social media mentality of ‘construct your own reality’ in superficial terms, at least. The internet and social media are valuable for democratization, but as Marshall McLuhan warned with his—”the medium is the message”—the rapid pace and temporary nature of social media can lead to throwaway approaches from the consumer and the creator…”

* State of the art optional AR experience.
* Listen to over 100 minutes of exclusive narration by Shepard Fairey.
* Interact with hundreds of artworks, including world premier exclusives.
* A full three dimensional photo realistic representation of his Damaged show.

Join Shepard Fairey in this state of the art Augmented Reality (AR) experience, where he shares his thoughts and methods behind his artwork.

## Shepard Fairey AR Reviews in United States

### *---- "Desperately needs a update"
Needs to be optimized for screens bigger than 9.7 in displays
-- B.i.G-O23, 2024-05-22

### ***** "Very cool concept…"
I think this app is excellent and the first of it’s kind that I’ve seen. I hope that more artists take to this format as it’s really an incredible experience without leaving your living room. The only criticism I would have is that this app does not orient itself to the position of the iPad. Other than that, once you get comfortable navigating, it’s pretty awesome. Thanks!
-- barrel X, 2021-12-31

### *---- "I don’t buy apps to hear people talk politics"
I hear enough of Trump bashing and Hillary worshipping that I sure don’t want to listen to it on an Art app. I would’ve enjoyed the art itself but after listening to the talking I had to delete the app. Why create an app that half of the country will not like?
-- Queeniebee65, 2019-04-14

### *---- "Garbage with social agenda"
Stupid garbage full of SJW agenda from some time 2008.
-- Pupkinsan, 2019-04-10

### ***** "Grateful"
Thank you Shepard Fairey, Juxtapoz, and VR’t Ventures for developing this app. It was a wonderful gift to see this exhibit up close and personal, including the artist’s commentary, since I was unable to travel to it. The experience made me feel like Shepard is an artist of, by, and for the people. Thanks again.

### ***** "Inspiring and Emotional"
Loving the damaged app! I’d never get to see Fairey’s work in person this way - the best part is I can really take my time. There’s no rush - no time constraints. Like having my own personal gallery of art, the poignancy Of process and message is just as strong the 20th time I visited - as it was the first. I’m beyond grateful! 🦋✨✨❤️

### ***** "@vrtventures"
Great app , amazing to be able to visit a complete gallery from your phone
-- Thebirdman6969, 2019-01-04

### ***** "Cool experience"
Very well done app. Closest thing to actually seeing the exhibit. Exceeded my expectations.
-- Fzcjuffh, 2018-12-31

### ***** "Fantástico!"
We are living in an era in which our use of technology is and should be questioned. But this app is an affirmation of how technology is a great tool for the everyone who doesn’t have the means to experience something as powerful as Shepard’s work. Congratulations to the team.
-- @mexicangry, 2018-12-31

### *---- "BrokenApp: Open-Crash-Delete-Re-Dwnld-Open-Crash..."
...Like my title above says; this app needs a fix. I'm using an iPad Air 2, running iOS 10. Please update with a bug squash so I can enjoy the exhibit‼️
