## Sherwood Kids Description
Sherwood offers a wholesome reading and audiobook platform built for families who want real books, professional narration, strong parental controls, and a safer place for kids to read and listen. An app where reading is the entertainment, and the stories are worth getting lost in.

One subscription gives the whole family unlimited access to Sherwood’s growing library of audiobooks, ebooks, and read-alongs. There are no library waitlists, checkout limits, or book-by-book purchases. Kids can read and listen as much as they want across their own parent-managed profiles.

Sherwood works with real books from real authors and publishers, including audiobooks performed by professional narrators. Every audiobook includes on-screen captions so children can see the words as they listen. When an audiobook and ebook are paired together, Sherwood creates a read-along experience where the ebook text highlights in sync with the narration.

Parents can create child profiles, choose what each child can access, build playlists, download books for offline use, and review reading and listening activity by profile.

## Sherwood Kids Reviews in United States

### ***** "Outstanding Platform."
So many wholesome stories here and more are being added. It’s nice to not have to monitor for questionable messages in the content offered. Keep up the great work. Proud to support such endeavor. Looking forward to many more years of use, and then to the impressions the stories left after that.
-- SentinelSteward, 2026-07-07

### ***** "The best audio book app!"
This is the best kids audio book app. Worth every penny and wholesome wonderful stories.
-- Newman_partyof6, 2026-01-04

### ***** "Great selection"
The best selection of books available for kids! Everything on here is a quality book! We all love it!
-- Jackie642, 2025-12-29

### ***-- "Good content. User experience is lacking"
it takes a long time to add books to a collection. Would be nice to see which books are already in the collection from that page. Would also be nice to have a notification of which books have been added to a collection when searching (to prevent adding the same book multiple times). Would be nice to click on an author’s name when looking at a book to see the other books you have for that author.
-- jujubes100, 2025-12-26

### ***-- "It’s ok"
The app is ok. Sometimes it feels a bit clumsy. There is a large selection of content which is wonderful, but many of the audiobooks seem to be read by average people, not professionals. The quality of audio and quality of reader greatly vary. Some books are great while others are down right awful to listen to. I wish there was a way to rate each book so Sherwood would know if they needed to update a book.

### ****- "Love the selection, not phone function"
The books you can watch and listen to are wonderful, we love the selection, but just reading books is difficult. No matter the size of the font or spacing of the lines, the top and bottom lines are cut off each time. (iPhone 14 pro max) I can’t just have my 8 year old practice reading out loud. We got the app for homeschool, so we have other devices but we aren’t always home so we use the phone quite a bit.
-- Tadobs, 2025-12-02

### *---- "Can’t chromecast"
The inability to chromecast, can only airplay, is a dealbreaker for me. I have TV’s where only have the ability to chromecast.
-- Connnnner, 2025-11-28

### ***** "A-mazing!!!!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🌟"
This app is amazing! You should totally get it. It’s so good for your kids, like for kids who are starting to read or don’t like to read this is the
app for that you can buy a book and they don’t have to read it. They just have to follow along and listen to the book. This is definitely what your kidneys it has listened to books. One of my favorites is green amber but yeah, it says listen to books watch books and movies that are based on a true story and you can actually read the books so this is definitely what your child needs.

### **--- "Disappointed"
I bought this app for my daughter based on the male British voice for Beatrix Potter that was on the ad. But when we began playing it, it is a woman’s American voice full of vocal fry and not nearly as engaging. I think that is unfair marketing and misleading. Additionally,
I subscribed thinking it would have all the classics but when I finally was able to access the catalog there are several I cannot find. I’m disappointed.

### ***** "THE BEST APP"
Hi, I just wanted to say that this is a really great app for kids all of the stories have kid friendly topics and they even have shows for kids six and under. They even have sleep timers so that your kid can listen to their favorite book as they sleep, and they won’t loose time finding where they were because the book has finished if you do turn on the timer. I just wanted to say this so other kids like me could have this wonderful app too.
