the app doesnt keep counting the time if you’re on another app or have your phone locked. i dont want to be wasting my battery by having it open on that screen the whole time. im hoping that in the future it can count accurately, bc it’s annoying that i have to be mindful of the amount of time the hunt took
I can’t even open the app without it crashing. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app to no avail.
I don’t know why, but after I created a account, when it asks for my name, I can scroll past it or leave it, I’m sure it’s a good app, but I can’t say for sure.
I’ve been using this app a lot for my own hunts, but it lacks a lot of quality mechanics that would make it more streamlined. General QoL Make the app available offline. A lot of people in rural areas have limited data for the month, some people don’t have internet in their homes at all, and some people have extremely limited roaming data for traveling. If the app needs to be online, then take advantage of that more. Allow people to display their recent catches or show interesting statistics such as commonly caught Pokémon within the last month. Issues While Hunting The app was very clearly designed around the more traditionally hunting method of only encountering one Pokémon at a time, but with the last couple open-world games allowing the player to encounter multiple of one or more species at a time, it needs a bit of reworking Add “+1” and “+5” button. With open world Pokémon games allowing the player to see a large amount of encounters at once, having to press the button continuously is a bit tedious. It’s much easier to count for a short time, such as up to 20, and then enter those encounters as sets of 5. Add a more compact viewing option, and the ability to move them up and down. Some Pokémon can be hunted at the same time, so you’ll want to be able to add encounters for them both. Search by type as well as name. This would make hunting with S/V sandwiches much more convenient Make the undo encounter button larger and in a more easily viewable position. it’s so difficult to press it, it’s usually more convenient to not even bother Pokedex Visibility The Pokedex/ShinyDex is pretty inconvenient, only even displaying 4-6 Pokémon at a time. There’s also no metric to display what amount or percentage of them have been caught, nor any grouping options other than the entire National Pokedex. Zoom out the display of the ShinyDex a bit, ideally to at least display 3 in a row. Seperate the Pokedex into more optional groups. Currently it displays the entire National Pokedex (#1-#1008) in order with no separations. It’s a proven fact that too many options discourages people from choosing at all, and so allowing people to limit themselves can make it easier. I would suggest having the default view with drop-down menus for each generation, which would also help users to search for specific Pokémon easier. I want to give it 5 stars but the fact that I can’t even get past the”hello there! Glad to meet you” page it’s asking my name but doesn’t show a enter or a x to close that out so I can’t even try the app out for myself :/

This app is great for keeping track of the number of encounters you have, and how long it’s taken. The issues are the reset button can be a little hard to hit at times, and the cosmetics of the app are completely at the whims of the dev. I rather like the BDSP theming, and I’m not sure how I feel about the new SV theming. It just feels less clean, and I wish there was an option to change it. But the only options in the… options menu, are to change your password and deactivate your account.
Love the app! Been super helpful, I just wish it had the blue version of Shellos in PLA.
