There is no clear indication of the iPhone software requirement on the app purchase page. This resulted in me paying £9.99 for the app, only to find in the instruction manual that the minimum iPhone spec is iOS 8, which is not very pleasing when the spec of your iPhone is iOS 7. If I knew how to get a refund I’d be doing it now!!!!
This is a very useful, easy to use - and more importantly accurate - ballistic program. It has the advantage of offering Bryan Litz's Ballistic Coefficients for most of the commonly available commercial bullets. Combined with the G7 formula, this app gives consistently accurate predictions of bullet drop and windage correction. The library allows you to store rifle and ammunition data for quick recall. I have this app on my iPad and iPhone, and use it frequently. It runs smoothly, and providing you enter accurate data, you will get an accurate answer. Definitely one for any serious shooter.
Sadly this app no longer works on IPad? When is there a fix coming to repair said app? 14th June 2010
I regularily use many of the other iPod and PC ballistic programs, and although I have only had Shooter for a few days, it appears to give data which is closer to my own recorded shooting results than all my other apps. It also uses Density Altitude very effectively which is very useful. The app is really easy to use, set up and understand... basically it is excellent. Thanks...GJM
