## Shotbud Description
Shotbud is a full shot timer that uses the sensors in your watch to detect and isolate your shots.


What makes Shotbud work?

• We combine audio and motion data to remove false‑positives, so Shotbud works even around other shooters!

• Run different drills by setting a par time.

• See your results and split times.

• Quickly adjust between modes using our built-in presets, including Live Fire, Dry Fire, CO2 Dry Fire, and Airsoft.

• Optionally adjust microphone, echo, and motion sensitivity.

 
Shotbud is free for a limited time. We will be adding more features. During this time we would especially appreciate any feedback from users.


Software Requirements: 

• Shotbud is made for devices running iOS 13+ and watchOS 6+.

• Shotbud uses your watch's microphone to detect the audio of your shots.

• Shotbud integrates with the Health app on your watch to detect your heart rate and to run on older devices while the screen is off.

So when initially opening the app on my watch it works great but once I back out and do something else then come back to the app…it seems to have issues detecting shots. This all is fixed if I close out the app and restart it. Other than that this works great!

Functionality was great! Counted shots perfectly and the watch version was easy to work into my drills.  Setting the beginning time to be random between given intervals is perfect.  The only other thing it really needs is to send the results to your phone where you can view them later.  I would gladly pay for this app if it had that feature (one time purchase, not subscription) 
I have a gun gear review YouTube channel and I’ll make a video on this app once it’s more polished.

Gave it a good try, spent an hour adjusting the settings and firing live rounds but could net get it to work. I like the idea and would pay good money for it if it was working but this is a fail. I will keep an eye for updates and change my review if they figure it out

My biggest complaint is that the noise or tone that alerts me from my apple watch when starting my sequence carries into the mic. Therefore every single time i start there is a “shot” at .3 of a second and then will not even show me my second shot or actual dry fire. This is all with the mic sensitivity at 0…

Like the title says, there needs to be a way to review the data AFTER a live fire session. It would be great if it was all recorded and you could go back to review later. Other than that, it worked great!

I use this with a shotgun at an indoor range. I had lots of false detections. Turning down the microphone sensitivity helped, but the app does not yet have modes for indoor and calibers greater than 9 mm.If they added those it would be great.

I have tried adjusting the sensitivity but I am getting too many false positives to even interpret the data. I think clicking on and off the safety of my rifle is being counted but there are still two other clicks that are unaccounted for. In addition there are four chimes to signal stat, why? Ding-ding-ding…ding. This is very annoying and a single note would have been much better. It’s really not usable for dry fire in its current state.
