ShrimpCalc tells you the exact grams (or ml) for your specific shrimp species, tank size, and brand — so every water change hits the right GH, KH, and TDS. Freshwater shrimp die from parameter swings. Cherry Shrimp need GH 6-8. Crystal Reds need GH 4-6. Get the dosing wrong and your shrimp fail to molt. ShrimpCalc removes the guesswork. HOW IT WORKS 1. Select your shrimp species (Neocaridina, Caridina, Taiwan Bee, Sulawesi, Amano, or Ghost) and your remineralizer brand. 2. Enter the volume of RO water you want to prepare. 3. Get the exact dose in grams or ml, plus expected GH, KH, and TDS with safety indicators. It takes 15 seconds to set up. No account required. REMINERALIZATION CALCULATOR Supports Salty Shrimp Bee Mineral GH+, Shrimp Mineral GH/KH+, SL-Aqua Blue Wizard, and DIY custom solutions. Each brand has different concentrations — the app handles the math so you do not have to. SPECIES-SPECIFIC TARGETS Six species profiles with recommended GH, KH, TDS, pH, and temperature ranges. Your target parameters auto-fill based on your species selection. MOLT RISK WARNINGS If a water change would swing your parameters too far, the app warns you before you add water to the tank. Failed molts from sudden GH or TDS changes are the leading cause of shrimp death. PRO FEATURES Upgrade to Pro for deeper insights: - Water change calculator with post-change parameter prediction - TDS drift tracker for evaporation top-offs - Tap water + RO blending ratio calculator - Parameter trend graphs over time - Multiple tank and species profiles - Additional remineralizer brands - Water change reminders - CSV export PRIVACY FIRST All data is stored locally on your device. No account needed. No tracking. No data sent to any server. ShrimpCalc is a reference calculator based on manufacturer specifications. It is not a substitute for testing your water with a proper test kit. Always verify parameters before adding water to your tank.
