## Shurgard Reviews in United Kingdom

### ***** "Useful"
Allows me to use Bluetooth for the doors around the building, useful app!
-- Joshhhhhhhh82, 2026-09-23

### **--- "No Apple Pay!?"
As above. No Apple Pay in 21 century? Embracing.
-- radozel, 2026-09-17

### *---- "Frequently fails to launch"
The app frequently fails to launch. I suspect that this is a mobile reception issue. This is particularly annoying if you are in a giant metal building with no reception; something like… I giant storage building! I am prevented from getting access to often.
-- Chris-toffee, 2026-09-06

### ****- "Works well"
Read bad reviews but it all worked well and efficiently with me.. you have to be close to the receiver but that’s good for security… The worst issue was not the app but the slowest opening gate in the world with only room for one car waiting in line and then the rest tailing back and blocking busy road junction… this has to change.
-- Not-fooled50, 2026-08-24

### ***** "Smooth first experience"
The reviews looked terrible, but honestly I didn’t encounter any problems as a first-time self-storage user.

It is a bit fumbly having to get through multiple security doors using your phone while pushing a giant trolley, but I don’t think there’s a much better solution given the level of security they need.

I’ll give it five stars. Why not?
-- Scott Milburn, 2026-08-03

### *---- "Not a good experience"
Wait for 20 mins to download upon arrival. No other ways to use the storage without using the app. Single point of failure.
-- 7haohao, 2026-06-02

### *---- "App Error - unable to gain access"
Poor service, recently the app is not working, unable to gain access. Fortunately someone let me in, his App worked !!
Both using iPhone IOS.
Sort it out
-- MonkeyBoyJS, 2026-02-08

### *---- "You can’t have an access to open anything?"
After minitrials receiving the six digit code the gate not open and I can’t get to the building sadly bringing 20 boxes today ending with returning home and put them back in a room what a nonsense
-- Nuotarefiume, 2026-02-08

### *---- "Doesn’t work"
App doesn’t function and weekend helpline unable to assist. Avoid if getting to your goods at weekends is important.
-- NortonRadstock, 2026-02-08

### ***** "App works well"
Bad reviews are outdated
-- Ladbantafanta, 2026-01-17

### *---- "Terrible service, expensive"
Easy to sign up, difficult to cancel. Insurance is a rip off, don’t bother.
-- MadAtSky, 2025-11-07

### *---- "Monthly Payment"
My monthly payment has been increased out of a thin air. Disgusting. Will never ever use Shurgard self storage again.
-- Gehrisgjakjsjdgdyche, 2025-07-07

### *---- "Awful and completely unnecessary."
No idea how or why the brains trust at Shurgard determined that such a poorly thought out and inadequately developed app was the way forward. A solution looking for a problem.
-- BBMvet, 2025-06-15

### *---- "App doesn’t start up"
Visited my storage in Euston and couldn’t get in because the app just shows a Shurgard logo. Left it for five minutes and still just the logo. Two hour journey back home empty handed.
-- TwinkletoesLondon, 2025-06-12

### *---- "Price raise yearly"
Yearly price raise of £30 average
-- Leyla Asan Mane, 2025-06-04

### *---- "I don’t need an app to open a door"
I have ten fingers and a brain to remember a code. Fumbling with a phone while having my hands full or dealing with trolleys is so impractical.
Can’t wait to be done with my house move, delete your app which by the way I’m sure is giving you yummy metrics on me that make you a little more cash on the side.
One star because I can’t give you zero
-- Taichi_Method, 2025-03-30

### ****- "Helpful"
Gina was very helpful and all seems easy to do
-- Emerald55555, 2025-02-22

### *---- "Terrible app, forced to use to access storage locker"
I only downloaded the app as my storage unit will no longer let me use my code for access.

The app is terrible. Spent 20 minutes trying to log in only for it to tell me my ‘unique’ code is incorrect. Even when I copied and pasted it direct from their invoice.

Finally had to give up and use a guest log in to access my locker.

Terrible app, badly designed and being forced on users.
-- ShadowFlame, 2025-01-01

### *---- "Terrible"
Just doesn’t do anything useful. After you finally log in, nothing works. Also insists on accessing your Bluetooth just to pay your invoices. Payment if course failed. Multiple times.
-- GRevAppStore, 2024-12-24

### ***** "I was so skeptical when I saw the reviews!"
I did not want yet another app on my phone and when I saw the mostly 1-star reviews do this I was reluctant to even try it. However, I have to say, it worked 100% fine from the minute I got it. It was easy to set up (the lady in the store showed me what to do). And it works perfectly to let me in/out of the storage place. I wonder if most people who have a good experience with the app never think to leave a review because it just works as it should. Therefore the reviews might give a skewed perspective if only those who have challenges choose to leave one.
