I was really getting over creating flash cards that would get tattered, torn, lost, etc. This app not only allows you to create your own words, but then speak/record the pronunciation for each word so your child hears YOU, with your particular accent/dialect, instead of an accent they may not understand or recognize. However the “gotcha” in-app purchases of grade level sight words appears to NOT be family shareable. I purchased the word packs on my ipad to check the whole thing out before adopting it for my first grader and putting it on her ipad, only to discover once loading it there that “restore purchases” does nothing and I had to buy the word packs over again. cheap shot, guys. very cheap shot. 🤨 Also, it doesn’t respond to decide rotation - it’s locked in one orientation even with rotation lock off. I use it on iPod touch for my oldest,who is in 5th grade. He certainly did netter on his spelling test last week. I just wish there was a multi-language option, since my youngest is learning to read in Spanish.
