Description

Signal is a messaging app with privacy at its core. It is free and easy to use, with strong end-to-end encryption that keeps your communication completely private.
• Send texts, voice messages, photos, videos, GIFs, and files for free. Signal uses your phone’s data connection, so you avoid SMS and MMS fees.
• Call your friends with crystal-clear encrypted voice and video calls. Group calls supported for up to 40 people.
• Stay connected with group chats up to 1,000 people. Control who can post and manage group members with admin permission settings.
• Share image, text, and video Stories that disappear after 24 hours. Privacy settings keep you in charge of exactly who can see each Story.
• Signal is built for your privacy. We know nothing about you or who you’re talking to. Our open source Signal Protocol means that we can’t read your messages or listen to your calls. Neither can anyone else. No back doors, no data collection, no compromises.
• Signal is independent and not for profit; a different kind of tech from a different kind of organization. As a 501c3 nonprofit we are supported by your donations, not by advertisers or investors.

Never ending VERIFICATION LOOP

3-5BD Teacher on

United States

I appear to be in a never-ending verification loop. As a result, I am unable to post without it saying paused. I have verified verified verified verified, and it continually Reloops back to verify. This is highly annoying and truly makes no sense. I have two channels one I can actually post in without getting a pause. The second one pauses, which makes no sense because they’re both connected to the same device, same number. There’s something really bizarre about this and I have requested it be fixed yet here I am posting. I will change my ratings as soon as the issue resolved.

Create Encryption keys locally and option to choose Proxy Server

Peter T. Gonzalez on

United States

There is no doubt that Signal is the best in messaging privacy and I’m very grateful for that. However, it is to my benefit to ask for changes as it may help me as well as others that use the app too. Those being: please have Signal create its all of its encryption keys locally as well as please allow users to choose the proxy server that Signal sends its messages through so that if a person doesn’t want to use the default Signal proxy servers, they can send it through their own proxy servers. Please consider these requests as I believe this may help other users as well as me.

Switching from android to iPhone

Health Activator on

United States

I can’t get my old messages to show up since I switched from my android phone to my iPhone. I am forced to keep my old phone going so I can reference the older messages. There’s no clear answer to the problem on the HELP site.

since ive started using signal people keep adding me to groups that i dont want to be inx and i was hoping yall could consider adding a toggle button or something where you can make it where people cant just add you to anything. im also having trouble with new members not being able to see the stuff i posted and i have to resend it again to my group, i would be giving this all 5 stars but these are very frustrating things. please consider changing these or adding toggle buttons for it n makin it where new people csn see stuff i sent before they joined
