SimpleMind - Mind Mapping

Overall it’s a good app except for two main shortcomings. All the features you’d expect are there and it’s easy to use. I would easily recommend it to anyone looking for a solid mind map builder. However, I find two things quite annoying especially when you pay for the pro features. 1. The most important issue is that Apple Pencil drawings on the iPad show up very pixelated. I found the resolution setting for images but can’t seem to find it for drawings. As my maps rely very heavily on diagrams that are hand drawn this was extremely disappointing and very frustrating. 2. The second problem is the fact that you can’t customize the text bubbles and the lines connecting them simultaneously or at least I can’t figure out how to do this. This is the minor of the two issues as it’s easy to get over. If these two issues were fixed it would be easily a 5 out of 5 review. Other than these two things it’s a very good app and I hope at least the issue with the drawings is addressed.

Best Mindmapping tool i have used to date. Since I began using this tool my grades have improved from a 42% average to a average of 82%. And this tool is very easy to navigate. The only tool i feel that is missing is a tool that would allow to create tables and Charts.

Purchased the full version. Able to brain storm on the iPhone with this app and then email to myself and print off. Great for getting new ideas and for a speeches. Recommended !! 5 star!!

Great app, easy to use, functional

I like the way I can save to Dropbox, and then access on my iPhone, so that I can run over ideas on the move.

I tried out a good few MindMap apps before I went for this one. It's quite good without the in app purchase, but the purchase unlocks some essential features. It's intuitive crash resistant, none yet and I have ran it on my iPad 1 my sons iPad 2 and my iPhone no issues yet. It's ideal for planning a project or doing study, results look great and can be easily incorporated in keynote presentations or documents. Ok, the down sides: Sharing, would of been nice if I could share with my own WebDav or Dropbox Output, would be nice if I could directly generate a PDF output and not have to mail one to myself Graphics, would be great if I could change node styles, ie first level boxes, second level ovals third level no boxes just lines Icons, should be able to add custom icons Text should be able to add text boxes outside of nodes on lines etc These sues aside, it's well worth the couple euros :-;

The Pro version is a feature-packed, intuitive mind mapping application! I highly recommend it.

When I read or study I enjoy making visual summaries in Simple Mind on my ipad mini and viewing them later with all my devices. I add the hyperlinks to the nodes so I can jump the original sources. I especially love being able to convert parts of a map into table/matrix format. For example, studying verb tenses in German.

I got Simple Mind years ago bc they collaborated in the cloud with Google Drive. I spent years creating Mind Maps and storing them on Google Drive. They then began requiring you to save them on your computer rather than directly with the Drive however I could still store them and open them from the Drive. Now they will not collaborate at all with the Drive and therefore I cannot open anything I’ve spent years creating. The biggest screw over to faithful customers I’ve ever encountered. If you buy this don’t surprised if it happens next to you.
