### ***** "No subscription and works on all devices"
When I read or study I enjoy making visual summaries in Simple Mind on my ipad mini and viewing them later with all my devices.  I add the hyperlinks to the nodes so  I can jump the original sources.   I especially love being able to convert parts of a map into table/matrix format. For example, studying verb tenses in German.

### *---- "Will Screw You Over Time"
I got Simple Mind years ago bc they collaborated in the cloud with Google Drive.  I spent years creating Mind Maps and storing them on Google Drive.  They then began requiring you to save them on your computer rather than directly with the Drive however I could still store them and open them from the Drive.  Now they will not collaborate at all with the Drive and therefore I cannot open anything I’ve spent years creating.  The biggest screw over to faithful customers I’ve ever encountered.  If you buy this don’t surprised if it happens next to you.

SimpleMind you are good.  You have a lot going for you.  But you are not as good as my beloved iThoughts yet.  You lack the simple keyboard navigation to expand and condense nodes (or topics), and you lack the keyboard based resizing of the map to zoom in and out with ease.

If you can improve the keyboard shortcut navigation, and the ease to open and close nodes, you will be a better app.

I use this as a todo tool. Lists don’t work for me. Visually grouping things does. I am getting things done because I like coming back to this app.

This app is very mature. Meaning, lots of feedback has been implemented. The little things just work easily. Worth every
penny.

### ****- "Great but iCloud trouble"
I unlocked pro on both iPad and Mac and my maps didn’t sync.
I purchased the actual pro apps on both and it worked. I got refunded both unlock pro charges by apple. My simplemind folder was only showing on iPad.
If you want pro download pro, I think it is worth it. But you have to purchase a license for iPad and one on Mac. Totaling about $40+ tax(2024)

It has come a long way and it won't do everything for you but it's a good aid in organizing and memorizing whatever you need. I use it more for workflows now. I do wish, it had all the workflow symbols but, its not a bother.

I just purchased this app 24 hours ago and my beginning user experience has been fantastic so far. At best, I’m a basic, 45 yo tech user and I’m finding the app very intuitive and easy to get going. The potential value for me is very exciting.

I find the cloud saving functionality brilliant so I don’t have yet another library of resources and files to manage outside of my primary ‘second brain’. I’m in the Microsoft ecosystem and the ease in which I can add the maps to my OneNote library is awesome. 

A must have feature for my use case was ease of use on my iOS devices and on my PC laptop. I’m using SimpleMind to collect and gather my non-linear method of planning video outlines and scripting for content creation. So far, I’m thrilled by how streamlined this app is proving to be. 😁

### ***** "Perfect- but please read ⚠️"
Honestly this is an amazing app, it’s fast, easy to learn, and very intuitive. Best of all, it’s free functionality allows for a lot of flexibility despite not being pro. However, do have one major concern that makes or breaks this app for any user. There is no prompt when you delete something. So if you spend hours on a mind map, and you swipe to rename it, but you accidentally press delete; your mind map will disappear in seconds. Adding a prompt that ensure the user wants to delete a map or a trash bin seem like the most efficient solutions.‼️‼️ Lastly, maybe this is to prevent bugs or something, but you have to be zoomed in to move your mind map nodes around and to use any of your tool bar instead of being able to move them freely and use any tool from any focal point.

This app looked simple, elegant, and easy to use, which is why I was disappointed to find out the opposite.

All of the toolbar was greyed out. I kept tapping everywhere but nothing happened. About all I could do was to create new mind maps. Weird.

I am not able to buy the pro version of this app yet, but I absolutely will when finances allow for it. I am only able to use the free version right now, but it is still super amazing and does amazing things. I only recently started branching out and looking at the free templates available, and I’m just so excited for all the things I will be able to do and keep track of, while also staying neat and organized. Yayayay :)

Then I tried some of the templates, and they really help to show what this program can do, which is a lot of great and useful stuff. I’m someone who requires a LOT of organization in my life, and to have a flexible yet structured means to plan my weeks, months, brainstorming sessions, etc., and to have it all on one screen is immensely helpful. My one minor gripe is that the bigger mind maps tend to become very…expansive? As in, the branches tend to become very long and spread out, and often with no text input, which takes a clean interface and turns it into a (seemingly) unclean one. Don’t know if this is unavoidable, but all in all, it’s a lovely app for a very fair one-time cost and I’m happy with my purchase. :)

I haven’t opened the Pro Version of this app in about 3 weeks and when I did open it, all my mind maps have disappeared 😢. I can’t find them anywhere! I had a ton of research that I need to complete a book I’m writing and now it’s all gone 😡. Save yourself a lot of time, money and disappointment and use similar app without the bugs that this one has.

This app is such a necessity for over thinkers like myself who struggle with keeping the notes app serious on their phones. I even find myself drawing a graphic organizer on paper just to organize my thoughts and to do this off this app is such a paper saver and just helps with sectioning things off where they just need to be with out being overwhelmed with bullet points

I think this app is definitely very helpful and productive in helping planning out brainstorming sessions, etc.

The only thing I would really like to see is adding some crow feets at the end of the line connections to another node.

Crow feets will enable us to create ERD’s for work and projects.

After that, I believe this app is pretty much 5/5.

Appreciate the product guys, and hope you’ll consider adding the crow feets for ERDs. I would really want to keep using this app 💯
