I’m a bit unsure about having to learn Markdown language to format texts. Markdown is a little cumbersome from phone/virtual keyboards; too many keystrokes just to add one format.

This app is a great app, not only is it free, but it is safe, secure and you can freely write notes in any way. The app lock is great, and very useful, that way no one can just go in and view your notes. One piece of critical feedback, would be to make the setting require you passcode when you change a setting. Enhansing the security in this way, will ensure that the app’s safety and privacy is a priorety. In the end, this app is great and very useful!

### ***** "Version 4.50: bug report + great app + how to make it better"
BUGS: When making a note and pinning it, it becomes unpinned and has to be pinned again. Also, after typing in the search bar, the app freezes for 10 seconds before showing search results.

PROS:
Blazingly fast. It syncs between the iMac, iPad, and iPhone in seconds.

The history option is useful - it’s the app’s version of Mac’s Time Machine.

The Dark Theme makes it easy on the eyes - every app should have this option.

HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER:
Make the new-note icon always visible, like it is on the Mac version, so that we don’t have to clear search results to make a new note.

When a task is moved to another checklist, put the task at the top of the checklist instead of at the bottom.

When sharing a link to the app, remove the brackets around the link.

Change the name to SimpleNote - the capital “N” makes the name easier to read.

Add the option to always have the sidebar visible.

Add an iMessage app so that it’s easy to SMS a note.

Having tags at the bottom makes it clumsy when the keyboard pops up - put tags at the top or side instead.

Make all the tags visible so we can tap on the tags we want, so that we don’t have to type out the tags.

When searching, include tags in the results - that way, we can add a tag to help us find a note without putting it in the note itself.

Add an undo-delete for when we delete a note by mistake.

Add an icon to pin notes, instead of having to go through the options icon.

CONCLUSION: A great app, with a little for improvement.

used to be a nice simple text editor cross platform but the push to a subscription is not only greedy but way too much. i dont care if the developer never adds anything more as i dont need or want anything more to complicate the simplicity and just stuff to go wrong. its fine as it is and should be free with donation support instead of greed subscription. so i assume if the developer isnt a milionaire within a month he (and it is a he) will remove the app and blame the users.
