Rubbish app
Flakey and unreliable. Crashes, burns through battery life, nearly impossible to sync, painful UI. Lacks many basic features, sort ordering bug where days are based on GMT time not localised time setting. Splash screen contains video that hijacks audio channel and interrupts playback. No way to export data, no way to manually edit of adjust tracks. No way to tag of categorise marks and tracks - everything just exists in a gigantic single list.
Worst of all: constant nagging to pay for overpriced ‘premium’ subscription. At least the app is consistent with the gutter-trash quality of my Simrad chartplotter!
Worth it!
Discovered even the free access allows map viewing and smart route plans. Entered two points on different rivers and it draws a path between them for safe passage. Will definitely be upgrading once I have my boat back on the water.
Months of downtime, no compensation!
When simrad / cmap was hacked they contacted subscribers mentioning that they would be locked after. But no! They kept subscribers money while there product was unusable.
Made the change to navionics, and so glad I did.
Good, but flaky…
Best chart maps on the market, by far…however app crashes when synchronising with plotter in boat. When it does synch, it duplicates 3-4 fold the waypoints, which need to be deleted manually. I prefer over Garmin for chart detail, but disappointed by the surprisingly flaky tech.
The auto-routing function is superb, and almost compensates for poor tech.
Rubbish expensive app
Fails to load weather and wind. Makes it hopeless as a marine app. They never fix it. Now I understand the app data has been hacked!

Autorouting is dangerous for beginners
Okish app for syncing but autorouting app does not take into account any nav beacons, sand bars or safety buoys in general so beware if you are looking for an alternative to navionics
Useful App
This app definitely adds to the usability and value of the Simrad chart plotter

Syncing is terrible
I seldom write reviews but decided to do this one because this app is so bad that it constantly froze whenever I tried to provide the feedback it asked me to give. Below is what I tried repeatedly to tell Simrad but couldn’t.
Oh, the positive? The navigation and charting (C map not Simrad) is excellent.
I have 2 x networked evo 3s and the Simrad app. The sync between them is appalling. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When my plotter syncs to the cloud it is totally hit and miss whether my phone and ipad will update. The ipad and phone routinely have different data even though both are logged into my account. Sometimes a device won't update for months. Worse, most of the time the plotter won't recognise either mobile device for a non cloud sync. I switched from Navionics because C map shaded relief is better. However, syncing is more important and Navionics worked perfectly. The Simrad app doesn't even have a sync now button. When it does sync I end up with multiple waypoints with slightly different names.
Premium price for a product which is worse than beta level. If it is not fixed I'm going back to Navionics.
