Simrad: Companion for Boaters

Weird, but since I switched from premium to free, loading charts is super slow. Just checking surroundings or where to travel next is almost impossible now. And I didn’t use offline charts with premium. Why is this, I wonder… 🧐

appen kraschar konstant! men när man väl lyckas ta sig in i appen och allt har laddat korrekt och vill skapa en ny rutt (t.ex till Möja) så blir Indiska oceanen eller typ Moskva markerat i stället??? Detta har hänt varje gång jag försökt. Gör om, gör rätt.

This app is not adapted to the latest iPhones. On many screens I cannot read or press Back button because it is too far in the corner or eclipsed by the Dynamic Island

I’d categorise this app in combination w Simrad HW as not stable, very unintuitive and complex to use. I’m seriously considering a shift to Garmin

This app used to be the best chartplotter app out there. Since then, 1+ years ago, they’ve made it unnecessarily complex, added unnecessary features (all this makes it less user friendly and also really heavy on the phone/pad) and taken away(!?) “Go to waypoint” (super easy autorouting). I’ve been in contact with Simrad many times and they always answer (days or weeks later 😵‍💫) that they will look into it, fix it, bring it back etc but nothing happens 🤷🏻‍♂️ This used to be an awesome chartplotter app but is no more.

It no longer syncs with my plotter (GO12). It tries to sync but then wants to erase routes/waypoints and stalls.

Very nice app where it’s supereasy to create a new route and sync it ti your plotter.

Hi, I have mostly been using the routing function and have a few requests. I would like the app to stop zooming when laying down route points. An optimal solution would be that you can adjust the route point off center, so your thumb is not covering it. I would also like all the distance measures to be in the same units for the route legs, I had both m and nm. I would also want to be able to set start time and see when I will be at a certain route point if I go at a certain speed. Another great addition would be a ”ghost boat” that follows the route at the set speed, so you know if you are lagging or going too fast. It would also be great if you can set different speeds for different legs.
