Ski School Advanced

I learned basic skiing skills with a guide, and since then all my progress is from Darren's videos. They are all available on YouTube, I bought the app to contribute. Every ski session I review key videos, and check out the cue cards on the lifts. The videos are short and accurate, and by watching them all I feel I have all that I need. I carve, go steeps, bumps, deep snow, and always go back to the green slopes to master the basics. Thank you Darren!

The app will only play one video then crashes. You have to restart. Additionally the powder video is actually the crud video. This was mentioned by someone else 3 years ago but hasn’t been updated. The videos themselves are quite helpful but can be found for free on YouTube.

Unlike most other apps, if you’ve toggled your phone to silent/vibrate, the audio will not play. Simple fix. Great apps and teaching videos from these folks.

After downloading I try to play but have no sound

The app works well - a collection of videos. Some of the videos are missing though. The "powder" video for example is actually the "crud" video. So you get that video twice and no powder video... not the end of the world but a bit annoying.

Great quality videos, solid ski techniques, great instructions

This app and the amazing instructor taught me how to ski. I've been on skis for one season so far and I already race down blues and land jumps in the terrain park. Never took lessons and my friends are snowboarders. This guy is great

With a few lessons and this app my skiing has jumped from Bunny slope to blue runs in a season. Clear, logical and very well presented. Love your work Darren.

As a beginner skier the videos gave me something to focus on. Each time I skied, I focused on a different technique. This allowed me to go from beginner to intermediate in one season. I highly recommend the videos!

Darren Turner is a great teacher with a very pleasant and engaging manner and the apps production values are high.
