## Skiwise Description
Skiwise allows Nordic Skiers to connect with a vast network of fellow skiers to share trail conditions, trail details and more. It's an essential tool for optimizing your workouts and connecting you with your local ski community.

We solve the problem skiers face every winter where they get gear up to go skiing only to arrive at a trail system to find that it hasn't been groomed recently. We fix this problem by crowdsourcing trail reports directly from your mobile device.

Skiwise accomplishes this goal through it's 3 primary features:

Crowdsourced Trail Reports -
View, edit and create trail reports directly from your phone. We feature the ability to subscribe to trails you frequently ski at and be notified when new trail reports are submitted for that trail.

Optimized Trail System Discovery -
Discover trails based on location, rating, city and more! View past trail reports and details on the trail system including number of kilometers and ski pass information.

Nearby Trail Map -
Find out what trails are closest to you! Going to a new city for the weekend? Browse the local trail systems in that area as-well. There's no limit to the capabilities Skiwise offers.

Skiwise is dedicated to improving your skiing experience. And these features are just the tip of the iceberg! With future plans to incorporate race signups, race results, group communication and more, Skiwise is growing fast and has no plans of slowing down.

## Skiwise Reviews in United States

### ***** "Notifications"
I hope notifications of trail reports returns.
-- P Donnay, 2025-12-24

### ***-- "Display name and location issues"
Couldn’t get display name entered because it said I didn’t follow the naming guidelines. Then when I tried to change it to follow the guidelines, it kept reverting back to the previous non-working name. Also kept changing location to Minnesota and doesn’t have a “my location” button.
-- Dave1347337843883, 2025-02-18

### ***** "Fantastic trail reports"
I love this app and encourage Nordic skiers to use and submit trail reports. The more users, the better this will get!!
-- hiroshi.williams, 2025-01-12

### ***** "Great app"
Best app going trail conditions. Don’t be afraid to add your trail reports
-- Crusty wool pants, 2025-01-08

### *---- "No longer works"
This app doesn’t work with iPhone 12. It doesn’t appear to be supported anymore.
When you click on a trail, all you get is a white screen.
-- Joeg124, 2024-11-14

### ***-- "Fantastic resource but could use a few tweaks"
Thanks so much for this! I use it often as a skier and a groomer. The first recommendation I would make is to change the geolocation of the user. When I am away from my normal trails the app automatically geolocates me which is awkward to go back to my home trails. This even happens when I’m just trying to read a trail report. Second, I would change the description terms on the reports to more simple ones: hard packed, snow covered, debris, etc. allow us to pick a few. Thanks so much!
-- Northern boy56601, 2023-01-05

### ***** "Needs time and more members great resource"
It has all the parts it just needs active members and more snow
-- Garthpro, 2022-12-31

### *---- "Doesn’t work"
Map loads fine, clicking on any Nordic center loads a blank screen. Tried dozens of times and can’t get it to work
-- Bret Darby, 2022-12-17

### ***** "Love it!"
This app always helps me choose where to ski and gets me out skiing when I see people posting that the trails are perfect! Any app that gets me skiing is a winner for me.
-- spencer gl, 2022-11-22

### ****- "Nice app for Xc"
When you get a notification of a new review and click on it… It does not take you to the review… You have to navigate there yourself… Which is kind of a pain but I soon will get fixed before long…
Otherwise, easy to use and useful for planning.
