Played this a lot back then. I didn’t complete the whole thing as a few stages I do not remember at all. You beat the first few stages, all is good, but then you reach a big hurdle. Not only does the difficulty spike after a certain point, upgrades become far too costly. The main cannon maxes out far too early and the wing cannons cost a fortune. Over ten thousand stars for one upgrade? Why? It doesn’t help that you can’t watch a video to double your stars unless you die during a stage. Why can’t I do it when I complete a stage? Furthermore, I never seem to get any cards. So I keep getting blown up by things I can’t see because my finger is in the way. If you visit the preferences you’ll find an option for the finger position to be offset. The game should give you the choice from the outset. But honestly it still seems kind of clunky.
