I am at AWWW with this realistic app.. I do not intend to make any purchases.. when the page came up for 3.99 a month after a short free trial I just clicked the X at the top right corner( not top left BTW) and it took me to the home constellation page. The coolest was knowing that if I point my phone camera eye down to the floor and flat I can see Sagittarius is under my feet on the other side of the world!’n Wicled Awesome!!!

I love ❤️ grabbing my tablet and identifying stars, planets and constellations. Also finding satellites and rockets is great.👍👩‍🚀

Frustrating

Wether using SIMBAD, Henry Draper catalogue, or others this app is not helpful. Several times I have attempted to use these databases to locate stars, objects, or even galaxies and all that pops up is "no results". One specific example was looking for R136a1, using HD 39268, or BAT99 Nothing until I began tapping the screen and up pops 30 DOR (Dorado) and only under the article it mentioned R136a1 but would not locate the object on the display.. now to be fair it is an intense cluster but the fact it wouldn't even place the FOV in the general location using the co ordinate table was frustrating. I seriously doubt the "millions" of objects are there in this app if using several data catalogues brings zero results time and again. It seems this app uses whatever is popular on wikipedia (most articles state read more on wikipedia) and info on stars labeled bring up the category of stars and types of stars rather than THE star that I just located. All in all maybe if youre out and want to locate macro objects or experience the sky using the tablet only then maybe its fun but if youre serious on locating objects that you wish to observe? I would say calculate it yourself.

Really enjoy

Since I had this app I spent a lot of time looking up into the night sky as well as during the day. Reading the monthly and special events is another reason I like this app!

Great responsiveness and alerts to things like ISS. I have amazed friends just pointing at the sky and it comes alive. I’ve tried several apps, free and purchased. This app is worth every penny.
