How much does Sky Guide cost?
Sky Guide has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is £27.32.
Emailed them a few times over the years and 0 reply. Was wondering about getting PRO (which is very expensive) but couldn’t find if it offers what I need since they ghost customers.
Yes there is a trial but I have used it years ago.
A shame because it has the best looking sky map from all apps out there.
Also lacks FOV rectangle for astrophotographers.
This is the best thing ever it tell you where international space station is at all times
You should get this game
Really good!!!!!🥹☺️🤩
I think that this app is really useful for people who are interested in space 🪐 ! It gives you all the sights that you don’t want to miss, and gives you a good description about the star/planet/constellation! The only thing I’d say to be improved on is when they send you a notification to say when a sat light or smtg, I think it should alert a bit earlier, like an hour before it happens!😅😅 But overall, I think I would recommend this app!
Paid con
Don’t waste time downloading as 29.99 annual subscription required, only told once downloaded
Downloaded Three, This Worked
Start with this app. Fast and intuitive, this app shows exactly what’s in the sky where you’re pointing your phone (other features available too).
Xx
Just trying it out.
Form over function
I’ve had the pro version for more than a year now. It is very beautiful and very slick but unfortunately I find that I do not use it nearly as much as other apps that have.
Sadly there is no way to alter the rotation of the sensor diagram from within the main view. Therefore, in order to adjust framing you need to open settings find the adjustment in the Astrophotography section, guess at rotation adjustments and hope that when you navigate back to the main view you have the desired angle. In practice this is both frustrating and very tedious.
It appeared to be such an obvious deficiency that I had hoped it would have been addressed by now.
Unfortunately, for the beauty alone without functionality, I’m not sure that it’s worth the £29 subscription.
Love it … but
I have been using sky guide for some time now and I love it. It’s easy to use and makes finding things in the sky interesting and fun. The articles are also informative. However since the last update i am not receiving ISS alerts and if I enter it in the search facility I loose the sky map and just get a blank screen. Can anyone please help? I miss spotting the space station flyovers 😢
Update Nov 21 - bug now fixed. Space station back!! I’m so happy. Thanks for your quick response. Looking forward to spotting ISS tonight at 5.30pm 😀.
Reviews are fantastic and lots of information and graphics
Fantastic app wonderful graphics and information
Great product.
Not found better even after many years of use. Easy to understand and point and obtain information from any part of the sky even below the horizon
