Slow and Glitchy
The app layout is good, no issues with how user friendly it is. But it constantly glitches and brings up blank pages, which makes it really frustrating to use.

I discovered once I opened the box that many of the features of this device are locked behind a subscription service. I understand that cloud services have an ongoing cost, but requiring a subscription to do things like “add stars to chores” is completely unacceptable for a device that costs hundreds of dollars. If you don’t subscribe to the service, you still have tabs on the interface that take you to “subscribe now” upsell buttons advertising features that should really just come with the device. Furthermore, there are some significant security concerns. You must make your family calendars *public* in order to use the Skylight devices. You can’t securely share access to your calendars through iCloud or anything like that. You must open up your family calendar publicly for the device to work. For the price, just use an old iPad as your family hub. It can do much more than a Skylight and is more secure. I immediately returned my device. Don’t buy this.
Don’t waste your time. It’s heavily monetized with subscriptions. Spend your money on something else. It’s a complete waste of money that I paid for a product and then cannot use the product I bought because they wanna gouge me. GFY

This app is inferior to the competition . I have used both this and an Aura frame . I am totally unimpressed with this one. Maybe it is better if you subscribe however lacks any functionality . My Aura frame costs nothing and is easy to use and manage. .
It would be nice to be able to to view and print the instructions if only you had a PDF copy available for us old folks.
We use recurring events for kids lessons. You can delete instance of these on your phone, and I would still show up in Skylight.
I would love to see the Skylight Calendar include the following features to enhance functionality and user experience: 1.Improved List Management: Add the ability to sort to-do and grocery lists alphabetically and incorporate drag-and-drop functionality across all areas for easier organization. 2.App Syncing: Enable integration with list-based apps using the same URL system currently used for adding recipes. This would simplify importing and syncing lists. 3.Enhanced Color Options: Introduce more vibrant primary color choices, which would appeal particularly to families with kids who enjoy bold, bright colors. These additions would make the Skylight Calendar even more versatile and user friendly
It’s a great app, but I would like it to provide a way to assign people to each meal in the Meal Planning, kind of have an integration between meal planning and chores where we can assign people to each chore.
App has a horrible set up and look. Super expensive for the yearly subscription to be able to upload videos, captions, albums, view more than 10 photos, etc. with how expensive the frame is it should be included. I think there’s similar products out there now look somewhere else. Great idea in theory but it’s too expensive to maintain a service like this.
