SkySafari 7 brings social stargazing to mobile devices with two new features to help you connect with other like minded people.

OneSky - allows you to see what other users are observing, in real time.  This feature highlights objects in the sky chart and indicates with a number how many users are observing a particular object.

SkyCast - allows you to guide a friend or group around the night sky through their own copy of SkySafari. After initiating SkyCast, you can generate a link and conveniently share it with other SkySafari users via text message, apps or social media accounts.

+ Sky Tonight -  jump to the new Tonight section to see what’s visible in your sky tonight.  Expanded information has been designed to help plan your night and includes  Moon & Sun info, calendar curations, events and the best positioned deep sky and solar system objects.

+ Improved Observation Tools - SkySafari is the perfect tool to help you plan, record and organize your observations.  New workflows make it easier to add, search, filter and sort data.

+ You can now edit the Jupiter GRS Longitude Value in the Settings.
+ Better Moon Age calculation.

App display is great, and integration with telescope control is good, doesn’t have the mosaic planning functionality and observation planning is pretty basic. 

Major bug is the widgets, information about sunrise and sunset are about 1 hours different than reality.

When you pay top price for everything they then think they can add permanent icons always on-screen to try and sell you more features. No option to say "no thanks" - it's there taking screen space until you pay-up (even though you've already paid the high purchase price for the app). 

Company that behaves like that should be avoided at all costs - there are excellent alternatives.

It’s a good app …. When it works! I have this on 2 devices and it’s great for a while then it stops working properly. Done it on both iPads. Delete, reinstall and off we go again. Same with the original SkySafari. Shame really.

The only minor bug which is that the programme sometimes fails to save any update of the minor body and satellite orbits in the Solar System section.
