Great app so far.
i’m on my Nth upgrade after old versions simply stop working as iOS marches forward. that’s OK, i buy it again. for some reason this version insists on having notifications enabled, or it just shows me a nag screen first thing. it gets old very quickly.
I like the app, I canceled the subscription immediately because the features are to hard to use. Not everything included in the subscription works, the sky feature where multiple people can link kept crashing and shutting the app down, also the comet that is visible now does not have AR mode so I cant see exactly what direction it is in. I’m hoping I can get used to the app but because it is difficult to use I’m regretting buying it.
Impossible to find controls - even to turn the schmaltzy music off, let alone all the features Help says should be available.
Not too bad even though you altered the control features, I still use this to help locate sky objects.
I can’t find a way to remove the constant sound. This should be a basic setting that is easy to find. I do not want to have to mute my phone for everything to make it stop. Correction - I’ve now found a way, so apologise. Should be silent by default though!
I had the old are SkySafari on my phone for quite awhile, the premium version of that was £24.99 to upgrade , then I saw another version called SkySafari Pro for £24.99, so I thought no brainer just buy the pro version and it’s all there and up-to-date, but then looking for the features I was going to pay for on the normal version and find you still have to pay another £24.99. !! so as far as I can see, the pro version is pretty much like the unpaid for other version apart from maybe a couple of minor things ! I have quite a few other astronomy apps and I found this one very misleading and feel I’ve just wasted £24.99 !
The price of the app doesnt include the subscription, which is required to see comets such as C/2022 E3 for example
I wanted an alternative to SkyPortal to control my telescope. Unfortunately I didn’t notice that it doesn’t include telescope control. I already have that in SkyPortal, so this doesn’t help! Barry, North Wales
Real time perspective enables quick identification of points of interest, even on free version. I love it !
