In the last month or so, 9 times out of 10, satellites I spot are not identified by the app. Why not?

Why is it that my husband’s free SkyView lite works a treat, and my paid SkyView shies the wrong direction, wrong stars….really not happy and haven’t been for a long time!??

I bought this to find C/2023, but was disappointed.

Very useful when you’re trying to identify anything in the sky. Is there a way to search for something in it? Eg the current comet that’s flying over Australia at the moment would be sweet to see.

I don’t find the app very accurate. Trying to track the international space station it is often 10 minutes either side of prediction. Also sightings are often 10 to 15 degrees off.

I like the app, and the info it gives. However, a couple of things you could do to improve it, are: 1. The inaccuracy of star and constellation locations. I pointed my device at what was clearly Crux, (Southern Cross) but it said it was Sagittarius. 2. Where are the newer space telescopes? Why include Hubble, and The international space station, but not the James Webb telescope? Those are the things you could do that I would like, Please?

Great seeing the planets gathered together now and then like now, 7/June /24 from Camberra…

As the title says SkyView is a great app for viewing the night sky. I like the augmented reality and the ability to scale the planets. Object trajectories is something I would expect and that works well also. Improvements I would like to see is being able to zoom in-out and better calibration. Sometimes it off by around 15 degrees. iPhone 14 Pro Max. Yes I calibrate. In saying that, still I recommend this app.
