You don't need to be an astronomer to find stars or constellations in the sky, just open SkyView® Lite and let it guide you to their location and identify them. SkyView® Lite is a beautiful and intuitive stargazing app that uses your camera to precisely spot and identify celestial objects in sky, day or night. Find your favorite constellations as they fade in and out while you scan across the sky, locate the Moon, discover distant galaxies, and witness satellite fly-bys.

Beautiful
Who ever made Skyview Lite is brilliant. I just got it today and love it. I have always been fascinated by the night sky, leading me to aspire to be an astronaut when I grow up. This app helps me grow my fascination by being able to name the constellations, satellites, and planets that I see. There is just one problem. I believe that you should make it where you don’t have to pay money to get Uranus and Neptune to show up. I think that you should be able to have the whole solar system unlocked when you first get the app. This is just a suggestion. Thank you again for making such a wonderful and brilliant app.
Used to be better
This was our favorite app for a long time to check out the sky but nothing aligns anymore. Even resetting everything, tried manual and auto calibration with no luck. Before you could point your phone directly at what you’re seeing in the sky and it perfectly lined up. Now, it’s way off and there are so many stars in the same vicinity that you can’t tell what is what. So now we’re on the hunt for another app.

False information
At first I pointed to sky and the app told me I was seeing everything , I was like wow but I looked into sky myself and didn’t see it, then the bad part , as I pointed my phone towards my yard it said my flower was a space Hubble and my yard was a galaxy so with that being said oh then I came inside and all of a sudden I had the whole galaxy in my room, lol. Well this app absolutely does not work! Sorry but no good.

It said the moon was below us even tho it was nighttime.
Hard to believe this app is free!
I’ve used this app only a handful of times, and I have been very satisfied. Looking up the the night sky I wonder “what is that?” This is the detention of “there’s an app for that!” I’ve been able to identify star patterns, planets, everything! Although not 100% accurate, it gives me enough of an idea where stars and planets are. 5/5 VERY Satisfied!
App doesn’t work
I have been trying to get this app to work, and it just doesn’t work. You can’t point it at different things you see in the sky. .
Best app EVER
Okay out of all the stargazing apps I have tried this takes top cake. It is AMAZING! And the fact you don’t get ads OR popups like whaaat? It’s too good I’ve been sharing the app with everyone I know even my teacher. Can’t recommend this app enough! Never been able to get that music function working but it’s still amazing without it!!
The alignment was way off
After a while the alignment of the planets were not even close to the target circle. I have an older iphone with version 15…. Cannot update past that IOS. So I deleted the app thinking if I downloaded it again it would correct the problem. Now the only version available has to have iOS 16. So I had to just dump it. As the only version available is not compatible. Used to use it in elementary science class. Kinda sad but will look for another app.
