Slack

A bit glitchy with the conversation tab often scrolling to the beginning of the conversation and freezing randomly, not working properly on the app version. Made for Nero typical people. The channels are listed with out colour of picture. It’s worth having comms plan with colleagues otherwise even with the threads and @ updates it’s easy to miss comms

I wish all work could be done in Slack. I was really pleased to come back after a year plus of working only in Teams and see Slack again. The audio on video calls is just as clear as I remember. I wish it was easier to create Slackbots but the webhooks are pretty good. Workflows seem to be working well for my colleagues and I am frankly relieved Slack is working on features like workflows and not fiddling with the core experience, like that disaster of rich text I remember years ago.

It’s slow. It keeps adding features I don’t want and moving the ones I actually use. The release notes are completely useless. It’s a big tech app.

It’s not a good product but it’s better than teams. So many issues though. Bug ridden, bad iOS integration, issues with sharing etc, doesn’t render images in chat. Push works before text renders. It’s saving grace is teams is still worse 😭

Last 12 months the awesome multi device synchronisation has gone downhill. Even on the same device the unread flags don’t follow your actions. It is starting to be as slow and painful as Teams. Very disappointing

For a while now the app has refused to open.

This is highly annoying. When I’ve typed a message and pressed enter to send it, id like to quickly edit a message just by pressing up on my keyboard. This is usual action in chat apps, for example discord

We signed up to Slack, then starting using it for a few weeks and now we can’t get back in. Total nightmare of email codes, Authenticator app code requests with no reference to which Authenticator app to use. Password reset links which require login to process. Can’t contact Slack to rectify the situation, because you need to login. Total nightmare, stay away.
