App freezes 2. Broad cast signals unreliable 3. More expensive than any other Streamer 4. Poor handling of favorites 5. Useless free channels a sales gimmick to woo you in 6. Unable to fast forward rewind in apple TV. Perhaps works better in Roku 7. Does not use Native SIRI features to control 8. Have to reboot often to make the app work 9 if I rank youtube TV (another super expensive streamer) and YouTube a 9 Sling will get a 1 or below 10. The features in Youtube like fast forward and rewind were available almost 8 or 10 years ago. Sling is still trying to catch up. Streaming is going to dominate. Who ever has the best user interface and controls is going to win the long war. YouTube is the best at that. Not even Apple TV+ which own IoS eco system. I don’t know what YouTube is doing they are leaps and bounds ahead of all streaming apps -- Srinikj, 2025-03-16 ### *---- "Streaming services" Buy a subscription and can’t even watch anything get charged no reason to even use this app can’t even get a refund horrible service -- Jonathan Whitehead Sr, 2025-03-16 ### *---- "Plays ads over shows" The app plays ads over the shows I am trying to watch so that I miss chunks of shows I have paid to watch. -- Voracious reader 1200, 2025-03-14 ### *---- "Horrible" I have been unable to login to my Sling account for two weeks. And all Sling can tell me is to check back, to see if I’m able to login, with no answer as to when this issue will be resolved. Nor are they offering any type of refund -- Quis310, 2025-03-13 ### **--- "App not reliable" Initially I liked the service and price, however, the app is glitchy and constantly crashes. Also when you minimize the screen on your iPhone, you can’t hit pause. It continues to play even if you are on the phone. You must close the app entirely to shut it off. Do better Sling. -- ChrisN-2127, 2025-03-13 ### **--- "Truly Bad" If it’s not one thing failing with one of the Sling versions, it’s another. Seems like every other day Sling fails either on my iPhone, my Roku or in the Microsoft Edge browser. I gave up trying to watch via Mozilla Firefox long ago. I hate it, but there aren’t a lot of options out there to replace it. -- Fedupwithallsupport, 2025-03-12 ### *---- "👎👎" Sling TV’s app is a complete nightmare to use. It’s like they took every bad design choice and crammed it into one frustrating mess. The channel layout is confusing and makes no sense—it’s like trying to watch TV while solving a puzzle. Navigating the app feels like a chore, and finding anything is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Honestly, it’s hard to believe a company this big can have such a horrible user experience.” -- Rami GB, 2025-03-12 ### *---- "Steals from customer" I tried three time over last two years to sign up for this service via apple. All three times money was deducted from my account but no signup. Apple refunded first two times, but most recent attempt they declined. This is incompetence and blatant theft of customer funds by sling and apple. Oh well fool me once… -- mautitx, 2025-03-11 ### *---- "Error 11-6 and support" Support for this app is practically nonexistent. I keep getting the 11–6 ‘location’ error even though I am using the same ISP I have always used and I’m not using a VPN. Near as I can tell, the app thinks that I am not in the United States (I am) and therefore not in a location where Sling service is offered. When this error occurs, the app will not even start up unless I turn off Wi-Fi and connect to my cellular network, which is apparently recognized as a valid location. -- Noname3612, 2025-03-10 ### **--- "Doesn’t work if screen is off 😖" The app doesn’t play in the background if the screen is turned off. I like to listen to the news while I do stuff without having to have the screen on. All other internet tv apps I’ve used don’t have that issue so I’d choose other apps just for that reason. Fix it and I’ll come back. -- Lunita121, 2025-03-09 [View all Sling reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Sling Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Top Grossing | United States | Entertainment | #41 | | Top Free | United States | Entertainment | #107 | ## Sling Discovered Keywords - news - live tv - watch tv - sports - streaming - live tv streaming - watch live tv - free tv streaming - free cable tv - live stream tv ## Apps Similar to Sling - [Fubo: Watch Live TV & Sports](https://apptail.io/app/fubo-watch-live-tv-sports-rtf/united-states) - [Amazon Freevee: Movies/Live TV](https://apptail.io/app/amazon-freevee-movieslive-tv-jEw/united-states) - [BET NOW - Watch Shows](https://apptail.io/app/bet-now-watch-shows-JwH/united-states) - [USA Network](https://apptail.io/app/usa-network-zzH/united-states) - [Frndly TV](https://apptail.io/app/frndly-tv-kGN/united-states) - [truTV](https://apptail.io/app/trutv-SkO/united-states) - [Xumo Play: Stream TV & Movies](https://apptail.io/app/xumo-play-stream-tv-movies-vrU/united-states) - [SYFY](https://apptail.io/app/syfy-UsU/united-states) - [Watch TNT](https://apptail.io/app/watch-tnt-lInb/united-states) - [Philo: Shows, Movies & Live TV](https://apptail.io/app/philo-shows-movies-live-tv-olVd/united-states) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
